Mickelina Perrone

Retired hairdresser

Mickelina Perrone of Carey Circle, Revere passed away at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett on February 27. She was 96 years old.

Born in East Boston, she was the beloved daughter of the late Angelina (Cuddi) and Liberato Auriemma. She was a resident of Winthrop for many years before moving to Revere more than 30 years ago. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a hairdresser.

The  devoted wife of the late Domenic Perrone and Henry J. Basso, she was the loving mother of Nicholas Basso of Winthrop, Angela LeChiara of Saugus and Sandra Mulkern of Rowley; the dear sister of the late William Auriemma (her twin brother), John Auriemma, Josephine DiBurro and Helen Auriemma and the cherished grandmother of Cristina, Robert, Amanda and Michael.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the Ernest P. Caggiano and Son-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home, Winthrop on Saturday, March 4 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Anita Mochi

Active in the arts community, devotee of Holy Rosary Church

Anita Mochi, a longtime resident of Winthrop, passed away on February 25 surrounded by her loving family.

Anita was very active in the arts community and devoted to her church, Holy Rosary of Winthrop.

She was the cherished daughter of Rose Marie Novello-Catanuso and Nemo Catanuso; devoted mother to Kim Gelardi Brazier, John David Mochi and her son-in-law, David Brazier, along with her adored grandson, Zachary Brazier, all of Winthrop.  She is also survived by her long time companion John Nicholas Mochi.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the Ernest P. Lt. Col. Ann Lyons Burridge

Retired United State Air Force

Ann Teresa (Lyons) Burridge of Winthrop passed away at the Wingate, Andover on February 23 after a prolonged illness. She was 75 years old.

Ann was born on April 6, 1941 in Lawrence to police officer Michael Lyons and Madge (Doyle) Lyons. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School and the Lawrence General Hospital School of Nursing. Ann then enlisted in the US Air Force where she experienced progressive, responsible advancement through the ranks; serving as a flight nurse, recruiter, nurse practitioner and attached to the US Embassy in Madrid, Spain. Graduate studies at Northeastern University led to her work as a Nurse Practitioner for the Air Force, and also a Human Resources Officer for the Air Force.

After 20 years of service, Ann retired from the Air Force to marry the love of her life, Leonard Burridge of Winthrop. During her residence in Winthrop, Ann was active in St. John the Evangelist Parish, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and as a member of the Catholic Women’s Club. She also was active with the Cancer Center at Mass General Hospital, 10 year board member of the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center and the Museum of Fine Arts. Ann was a world traveler, taking cruises and visiting extensively through the U.S., Europe, the Caribbean, Hawaii, Alaska and Ireland. Kindness and generosity were the hallmarks of Ann’s life.

Ann is survived by her sister; Margaret O’Connor and husband, Francis of Andover, her brother Atty. John Lyons and his wife, Geri of Maryland and her brother in-law, John P. Thereault, nine nieces and nephews and many cousins in both the United States and Ireland. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Leonard W. Burridge, her parents and her sister, Mary Thereault. She is also survived by her step daughters: Susan (Derk) Zimmerman of Beverly Hills, CA; Janis (Daniel) Gray of Winthrop, Kathie (Craig) Barnard of South Easton, MA; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
