Vittorio ‘Victor’ Grillo, Sr.

Of East Boston

Vittorio “Victor” Grillo, Sr. of East Boston passed away on October 25 surrounded by his loving family.

The beloved husband of Deborah (DeFronzo) Grillo, he was the cherished father of Matthew, Kimberly and Vittorio Grillo, Jr.; loving son of Rosalia (Lambiase) and the late Matteo Grillo; dear brother of Maria “Pina” Falzone and her husband, Salvatore of East Boston, Tina Mitrano and her husband, Giuseppe of Stoneham, Giovanna Chiulli and her husband, Umberto of East Boston, Antonio Grillo and his wife, Lucia of Stoneham, Frank Grillo and his wife, Diana and Julio Grillo and his wife, Deborah of East Boston, Rita Grillo of Stoneham, Patty Hanton and her husband, Robert of East Boston, Sonia Connolly and her husband, Christopher of Stoneham, Serena Grillo of East Boston and the late Andrea Grillo and his wife, Patricia; the dearest son in law to Jane DeFronzo and her late husband, Sonny and he is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, East Boston. Victor was laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Kathleen (Hurley) Bradford

Of Winthrop

Kathleen F “Kathy” (Hurley) Bradford of Winthrop died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 27.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Bradford and his children Lisa and Tina and the late Brigitte. She was the loving daughter of the late  Daniel and Kathleen (Clarke) Hurley; dear sister of James Hurley and his wife, Linda of Nevada, Elaine Internicola and her husband, Sal of Winthrop, Maureen Hurley and her husband,  Daniel Sheridan of Florida. Patricia Hurley-Felt and her husband, Peter of Winthrop, Francene Lindquist and her late husband, Willard “Link” of Saugus, Anne Trainor, Carol Mahan and her husband, Tommy, Theresa O’Brien and her late husband, Arthur, all of Winthrop and the late Daniel “DJ” Hurley and his surviving wife, Donna and the late John F Hurley. She is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.

Alice Stasio

Of Winthrop

Alice P. Stasio of Linden Street, Winthrop passed away at the Arbor’s in Winthrop on November 1. She was 91 years old.

Born in South Boston, she was the beloved daughter of the late Margaret (Cahallan) and Jeremiah O’Sullivan. A resident of Winthrop for over 55 years, she worked alongside her husband at the Joseph A. Stasio Lumber Company in Winthrop for many years.

She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph A. Stasio and the loving mother of Alice MacFarland and her husband, Keith of Wakefield, Joseph A. Stasio and his wife, Jeanne of Lynnfield, Maryanne Albert and her husband, Scott of Hampton, New Hampshire and Catherine DelVento and her husband Nicholas, of Winthrop. She was the dear sister of the late Catherine Plansky, Margaret Murphy, Mary Canty, Timothy, Daniel, Jeremiah, James, John and Bernie O’Sullivan; cherished grandmother and great grandmother of Timothy, Keith, Bridgit, Joseph, Vanessa, Julie, Greg, Alicia, Maeve, Brody, Logan and Sebastian. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the Ernest P. Caggiano and Son-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home on Thursday, November 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, November 4 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10 a.m. Interment to follow the mass will be in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery. Paul Nestor

Auto mechanic

Paul A. Nestor, a life long resident of Winthrop, passed away suddenly at home on October 31. He was 42 years old.

Born in Malden, the beloved son of Geraldine (Laura) and Robert Gatchell of Saugus, he was employed for many years as an auto mechanic.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop on Friday, November 4 at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow the mass will be in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
