Voting Season in Winthrop

Now that the third and final Presidential Debate is in the history books, Winthrop residents can now focus on which candidates for whom they will be voting in the 2016 Presidential Election. Under a law signed by former Gov. Deval Patrick, register voters throughout the state, including Winthrop, can cast their ballots starting on October 24. Town Clerk Carla Vitale and her staff will have a station in the lobby of Town Hall where voters can cast their ballots during Town Hall business hours.

This election has been the most-watched and most talked-about one that we can remember as Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton have been topping the national news shows since earning their party’s respective nominations.

And now it’s up to the people to decide whom they want to serve as the next President of the United States. We hope that Winthrop residents will participate in the Democratic process and help elect our next President.
