Happy Rosh Hashanah

We join the community in wishing our friends and neighbors of the Jewish faith a Happy and Healthy New Year. Rosh Hashanah begins Sunday at sundown and we, in Winthrop, can take pride in the great tradition and the many contributions to the betterment of our community by the members of the congregation at Temple Tifereth Israel.

We remember the men and women of Temple Tifereth who for decades were pillars of our community — Myer Brill, Sam Newman, Benjamin Barton, Rona Mael, and so many others — who helped make Winthrop the great town it is today. We commend Temple Tifereth President Sandra Pellegrino for keeping the temple’s tradition alive and vibrant.
