The Great Debate

Is there anyone in Winthrop who will not be tuned in to the first Presidential Debate Monday night featuring Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton? NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt is the moderator for the first of three Presidential Debates that could be very instrumental in determining who will be the next President of the United States.

Longtime political observers will remember the John Kennedy-Richard Nixon Presidential Debate in 1960 on the road to Kennedy being elected President — and we will have to see whether Monday night’s event has the same impact for either candidate.
