LIZZY BORDEN PLAY HERE ON  SEPT. 29

The Delvena Theatre Company presents Lizzie Borden and the 40 Whacks! Thursday, September 29, at 6:30 p.m. at the Winthrop Public Library.

On a scorching hot day in Fall River in August 1892, a heinous crime occurred. Spinster Lizzie Borden was accused tried and acquitted for the vicious axe murders of her father & stepmother. This true unsolved mystery has fascinated people ever since.

Two people may have died on that day in 1892, but Lizzie lives on in American folklore.

The performance includes a mock trial that invites the audience to question Lizzie, and vote on her guilt or innocence.

Free program and light refreshments will be served. Come and bring a friend.
