Monday, March 28

Report of a crew blocking the street at Washington and Winthrop Street and have it down to one lane. Officer reports the site is down to one lane. The crew packed it up a few minutes later.

Party on Trident Avenue called to report that two of her tires were slashed. Officer reports she will make out an incident report.

Building owner on Revere Street reports a motor vehicle is being towed by G&J out of his property for being a trespass vehicle.

W92 reporting that there is an illegally parked motor vehicle at Shirley and Cutler Street. G&J removed the vehicle.

Nurse from the Arbors called to report that an elderly lady has fallen. EMS notified and will handle.

MASS Recovery Bureau came to the station not report they repaid a motor vehicle on Edgehill Road. The owner knows of the tow.

Caller on Tafts Avenue reports receiving a call from an individual posing as a representative of the IRS. These calls being made are fraudulent. The IRS will not request money or personal information over the phone.

Party on Pearl Avenue reports a minor accident and the other driver is becoming aggressive. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

Caller on Woodside Avenue reports two individuals knocking on doors attempting to get service for Direct Energy Utilities. Parties did not have a permit and were told to cease until one could be obtained.

Off-duty officer requesting an officer to check on a suspicious subject unknown to any of the present parties who entered basement/bathroom at the PSA Hall and has been there for the past 20 minutes. Area search negative. The subject had left by the rear door.

911 call from Cottage Avenue. Yelling and it was hard to make out anything the caller was saying. The caller stated it is a lockout on Cottage Avenue. It was unknown if something else is going on due to her yelling. Could hear her say “don’t hit me.” The officers were notified. A key was found and everyone is okay. Officers report no domestic. Older couple yelling.

Tuesday, March 29

Caller at Pleasant and Woodside Avenue states that her boyfriend is very sick. Fire notified. 91 responds and reports male party to MGH. A report was submitted.

Female caller on Hermon Street reports a dog in a truck and it has been over 15 minutes. ACO reports the dog is ok. The windows are in the right position.

Mother on Shirley Street called to report that her daughter has a very bad migraine and needs an ambulance. EMS notified.

Operator with NH plates was advised that she has been observed dropping off children at the school on numerous occasions and she lives in Massachusetts, she needs to register her vehicle in Massachusetts. She was given a week to do so. The operator states that due to personal reasons, she does not have the money to do so. She was advised that she will be given two weeks to accomplish this.

Female caller at River and Bates Avenue reports there is a tow truck parked on the street and it has been there since last night. Also the U-Haul that has been parked there has moved a few spots down the street. Both will be tagged for the commercial by-law. Officer reports the U-Haul was on the 72-hour list, but has moved. It will be timed. Also parked there is a small car carrier. This will also be timed. The U-Haul has moved and the car carrier was tagged.

An individual came to the police station to report that someone used his identity to obtain a credit card under false pretenses.

Social Worker called from Sewall Avenue to say that her patient fell and needs medical assistance. Fire notified.

W92 Ferullo was assisting ACO capture a dog at Beacon Circle and the dog took a nip out of him. He stated he was okay but he was told to have fire at least check it out. He will fill out a Notice of Injury Report. The dog owner came to the station and spoke with ACO. The dog’s medical records were faxed to the station.

Party on Cutler Street came to the station to repot an audio recording device was found in her apartment. Off. Gregorian and Det. Carter will investigate.

An individual came to the station to report that her identity had been stolen and a false tax return was issued under her identity.

Safety Off. Vitale reports a motor vehicle just struck another vehicle in traffic and took off toward Revere. No plate was obtained. W92 will assist. While obtaining information from the vehicle struck, the hitting party called crying and stated she is at Short Beach. W94 responded. One vehicle was towed.

Party at Pleasant and Somerset Avenue came to the station with a noise complaint. Neighbor housing two roosters who disturb the peace throughout the day. The party was referred to overseeing agency – The Board of Health.

Caller at Twin Bakery is worried about the Winthrop Flag on a nearby pole becoming unattached in high winds.

With everything going on with an accident, W94 reports a vehicle just broke down near his accident site. A private tow was called. The officer will monitor both events.

Party at Yirrell Beach reports finding bone amidst the rocks. W91 retrieve the bones and a detective reports it is animal nature.

Caller on Walden Street reports receiving an IRS scam call. Caller demanding money, then respect, then ended the call by saying he has a bomb. It was an 800 number and non-traceable. The caller was informed “NOT TO BELIEVE THE IRS OR ANY FINANCIAL INSTITUTION REGARDING MONEY OVER THE PHONE.” It was the same type of scam as the rest of them.

Party reports that a male subject was walking down Revere Street at Summit Avenue and the individual appears to be intoxicated. W92 has seen the individual and he is known to the department. The individual does not need service at this time.

Owner of Demetri Brothers is requesting police assistance for a party that will not leave the store. W91 and W92 responded to the establishment. The officers report it was a misunderstanding and the subject left.

Manager of Crystal Cove Inn called to report a past guest stole items that belong to the hotel. Officer reports having enough information for a report.

Caller reports someone passed out in the bus stop shelter at Revere and Summit Avenue. Officer reports intoxicated party. EMS notified and subject was transported to the MGH.

Party on Cottage Park Road reports an individual going door to door soliciting business for Direct Energy. Officer advised the individual to get the required permit and was then sent out of the area.

Oxford PD called regarding a subject on Shore Drive who appears to be confused and making no sense. We have had some interaction with her in the past. The officer reports speaking with the woman who was concerned about some requests for information she received in the mail. She was advised not to give out any information regarding her father or herself if she fears someone is trying to get her personal information.

Caller on Shirley Street reports hearing someone making threats toward her and her husband. Officer advised the caller to contact the police if there is a problem.

Party on Coral Avenue reports that he thinks his friend is overdosing. He is breathing, but unconscious. WFD and EMS notified. Officers report subject was administered Narcan and he is now conscious and being transported to the Whidden for a medical evaluation.

Male caller is requesting EMS to the front of Holy Rosary Church as he is having difficulty breathing. Call transferred to EMD and WFD for service.

Wednesday, March 30

Party is requesting assistance with her 16-year-old daughter who is currently at her boyfriend’s home and she is refusing to come out of the home. Officers spoke to the girls parents and advised them to go to Chelsea Juvenile Court to assist them with the daughter. They were also advised to speak with Det. Farmstead SRO to have her speak with the girl.

Party on Moore Street reports loud voices coming from the basement apartment. She thinks that maybe they are moving in. Officer reports the area is completely quiet and there is no such address as given.

Parents from previous call, called back stating that the daughter has not gotten home yet and they are concerned for her. Officers responded to Upland Road to look for the 16  year old. They spoke with an older bother and he advised them that she is not there. The officers will check the area frequently. The parents will also keep looking for her.

Officer reports locating the female party walking along Winthrop Parkway near the Revere/Winthrop line. He is off with her standing by until the parents arrive. Officer reports she did return to the address despite her parents. The parents arrived and picked her up and brought her home.

An employee of Red’s Hair Salon reports that a male party attempted to open the door to the establishment when she was opening the store. The party was sent out of the area.

Reports that a male from Direct Energy came by caller’s home on Lincoln Street and may be signing her up when she did not want a new energy source. The caller believed the party to be from National Grid and showed him her bill. The caller stated that he did not have an ID. When Direct Energy was contacted they were told again that their employees must show their ID when going door to door. The clerk reports that Direct Energy does to have a permit to solicit only safe out of Everett.

Summons service to parent for juvenile on Cliff Avenue. The parent was served in hand.

Motor vehicle tagged for corner violation on Ocean Avenue.

Caller on Argyle Street requesting an ambulance for an employee who has fallen.

Party on Harvard Street reports a male subject who appears to be possibly intoxicated stumbling and falling down. W92 dispatched to the area and reports that they are off with a subject who may need medical. WFD notified and after checking subject he was cleared. The subject was also found to have an outstanding warrant from EBDC. The subject was placed in custody and transported to the station for booking.

Caller at D’Parma’s Restaurant reports seeing a man getting out of a parked motor vehicle with the alarm sounding. The man then hopped into another car that was waiting and it fled down Shirley Street. The alarm-sounding vehicle’s operator was located and the vehicle is a rental. She states there is no damage to the motor vehicle nor is anything missing.

Party on Bartlett Parkway is requesting EMS for her mother who is not feeling well. Call transferred to EMD and WFD for service.

Motorist was stopped for violation at Main and Paine Street. Officer repots instructing the owner/operator to properly attach her number plate. She was given a verbal warning at this time.

Thursday, March 31

Caller on Nahant Avenue requesting an ambulance for his girlfriend who has fallen and has been ill. Transferred to EMS/WFD.

Party on Johnson Avenue calling to report that a neighbor is cutting branches on her property. Officer dispatched and while enrollee, a second caller reporting first caller arguing with her regarding cutting of branches on her property. W91 responded and reports it is a civil matter and both parties could not come to an agreement. They were advised that it is a civil matter.

Caller reports a motor vehicle just knocked down a town tree opposite the Dunkin Donuts on Main Street. W92 reports substantial damage to the town tree. Party has left and is coming to the station. 92 requests DPW. The party came to the station and there was damage to the vehicle s well. DPW notified.

W92 reports speaking with the clerk/manager of the laundromat on Main Street regarding the awning as it is hanging. They will take care of the matter.

Caller reports a party may be having a seizure at the CVS. Transferred to EMS and WFD notified. W91 responded to assist.

Party on the bench at French Square reports she can not walk. EMS notified.

One of the daycare providers spotted a syringe in Ingleside Park while out walking with a group of children. W91 checked the area twice and could not locate the item.

The school called regarding a preschooler that has not been picked up yet. Dismissal was at 10:45. W92 checked the address and could not locate the family. Others in the multi building did not know them. Messages were left on both parent’s phones regarding the child’s failed pickup. SRO notified.

Party on Summit Avenue called regarding an IRS scam call.

Male party called to report that his disabled friend in a wheelchair is lost somewhere in either Winthrop or East Boston. Calling party reports that the last known place was near a Century 21 in the Highlands. Officer reports searching the area to no avail. Officers told to keep a look out for him.

Calling party on Shore Drive reports that she heard a little boy get smacked and then he was crying. She would like a well being check done to make sure he is alright. Officer spoke to the parent and child and everyone seems alright.

Call about a woman falling inside the library. Officer reports a refusal.

Caller on Revere Street requesting medical for his girlfriend who collapsed but is conscious. EMS responding.

Party on Wave Way Avenue came to the station to report that his rear license plate either was lost or stolen.

Request for EMS for female on George Street. EMS responding.

Caller on Shirley Street requesting an officer to assist with a motor vehicle crash. Officer assisted the parties in exchanging paperwork.

Party on Morton Street requests an ambulance for person living there. The party was transported to the Whidden.

Report of kids on the beach at Terrace Avenue breaking bottles. Officers report the area is clear at this time.

Party on Locust Street requesting an ambulance to transport her father who is not feeling well. Transferred to EMS.

Motorist stopped for violations at Main and Linden Street. Officer reports giving the operator a verbal warning for traveling just over the speed limit.

Friday, April 1

Party on Sewall Avenue requests an ambulance for her elderly mother suffering from dementia. Transferred to WFD.

Reports of a patient falling at the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center.

Party report that her motor vehicle was struck while parked at the gas pumps by Honeydew yesterday. The other operator looked at her and then left. The party reports there is damage to her vehicle and she is submitting a report. The report was brought to the station.

Caller at Seal Harbor called to request assistance with obtaining medication and clothing in accordance with a 209A. Call made to the plaintiff and message left. The calling party was advised.

W92 reports the green traffic light at Pleasant and Lowell Road is out.

Officer off with a car without plates at Shirley and Revere Street. Officer revealed the owner of the vehicle had plate stolen and did not switch front plate to the rear. The operator was advised by the officer.

Party at Seal Harbor called after returning from EBC to report that the judge had vacated the ERO that was issued last night. Caller was informed that we have not received any notification regarding the vacated order.

Doctor’s office on Pleasant Street called for a patient that they had on the phone who is having chest pains. Fire notified.

Caller on Shirley Street reports that she needs an ambulance for her other who had taken a fall last evening. Transferred to EMS/WFD.

Party reports that while parked in the Center she returned to her vehicle and noticed that someone had struck it. Officer Defeats observed the damage to left right bumper.

Party on Trident Avenue reports very loud music coming from first floor apartment. Caller reports this is a constant problem. Officer report speaking with the first floor residents who will lower the music.

Caller on Johnson Avenue report there is a large tree branch hanging from a tree causing a potential danger. W92 responded and reports there is a large tree limb broken off resting on the upper trunk. DPW notified and will respond.

Party came to the station to report that she received a call from someone purporting to be from the enforcement division of the IRS/Treasury Dept. The party realized that it is a scam, but wanted to notify us.

Caller reports receiving a call from XXX-XXX-XXXX and said that she would be in trouble if she did hot call them back. This is the same number left for the party in the previous call.

Summons for a bench trial received from Lawrence District Court for subject on Revere Street. Officer will attempt service in hand. He reports no answer.

Party reports that she received a call from XXX-XXX-XXXX, Cocoa Beach FL. The person on the phone stated they were holding her daughter. The party was informed this is a scam.

Party came to the station to report that on February 17 a home health aid came to her apartment and when she left, the reporting party discovered that some jewelry was taken from her bedroom.

W91 reports attempting to serve a summons on Revere Street. This is the second attempt today. Again, nobody home.

Saturday, April 2

Motorist stopped for violations at Revere and Deane Avenue. Subject was operating their motor vehicle on the tire rim. They were advised to pull over and either fix it or call for a two. They will comply.

Motorist stopped for marked lanes violation at the playground in the Highlands. A verbal warning given to the teen.

Officer located an unoccupied motor vehicle in Hannaford Park. He will attempt to locate the individuals. They were observed walking up from the beach. Officer reports warning the three that the park is closed and they have to leave forthwith.

Neighbor called to state there is unreasonably loud music coming from Nevada Street. After several attempts and no cooperation, units report ending the party. Attendees fled throughout the neighborhood. Units standing by to make sure they do not return to the address. Peace has been restored and the person having the party was advised of consequences of subsequent calls for disturbance.

Party called to repot that a woman that she was helping as part of a program they were both involved in has been harassing her regarding accounts, passwords and other means. She will call back if it continues.

Party on Shore Drive reports ongoing situation with a resident in his building. Other party contacted and claims mutual harassment. Officer will seek a hearing to settle the matter.

A motor vehicle was found parked on Revere Street and was on the town’s tow list for outstanding party tickets. The owner of the vehicle was spoken to and he claims that he had filed a report with town hall regarding his sticker being stolen. When the parking clerk was contacted, he will give the owner of the vehicle a week to settle this matter since he is out of state, otherwise, the vehicle will be subject to being towed.

Party came to the station to report that someone on the bus from the Heights to Winthrop may need assistance. Reporter states a female, approximately 35 years old, smelling of liquor, got off the bus and this reporter was concerned. W92 checked the length of Main Street and no one in the area fitting his description.

W91 and W92 responded to Hale Avenue to attempt service of a probation warrant received from the electronic monitoring section. Call to them and they request that we try to serve the warrant. Officers went to the address and the subject is not there. Family reports that he is at work. Officer called the place of business and he is there and the probation department notified.

W91 made another attempt to serve summons for subject on Revere Street. Officer spoke with the family who states the party does to live there but comes by occasionally. If she stops by they will tell her to come to the station to pick up the paperwork. They also informed the officer that she may be staying in Saugus.

Walk-in to report a man, unsteady on his feet, appears to need assistance at Revere and Golden Drive. Officer spoke to one party at the bus stop and he was not the subject nor had he seen him.

Party reports someone stole her identity and she will come to the station to make a report as she believes it was someone who was helping her with the computer.

Caller on South Main Street reports a mini van with kids in it idling for over an hour. Officer spoke to the subjects who were on their own property. Nothing illegal occurring. The subjects agreed to take it inside for the night.

Caller on Ocean Avenue requesting an ambulance for her grandmother who is not feeling well.

Female came to the station to report that she believes a female who was helping her fill out forms on her computer has locked her out of her accounts, stole her identity and she wanted this reported. This is the same call from earlier when the person she is accusing alerted us in the a.m. that she was receiving harassing phone calls from the reporter. Parties will settle their matters in court.

Party at Nick’s Place is requesting EMS for a female who is not feeling well. EMS responding.

Caller at Hale Avenue reports that her husband is non-responsive and needs medical attention. EMS responding. EMS request police at the scene and unit is responding. CPAC notified. Caggiano’s Funeral Home notified and responding.

Sunday, April 3

Party on Revere Street came to the station to pick up her summons that has been issued by the Lawrence District Court. Everything was explained to her and she understood.

Female reports there is wire down at Chester and River Road. Officer reports the wire is hanging very low. Fire will attempt to secure it so traffic can get by.

Staff member at the Arbors called to report that someone fell. EMS notified.

Female called to report that on the school side street of the Old Playhouse, the side door is open and swinging in the wind. Officer report checking the inside and find it empty of any owners or repair people. Officers placed a cinderblock in front of the door to keep it closed.

Medical needed for female on Cutler Street. She went to be last night and husband has been unable to wake her up. She is snoring loudly and has multiple medical conditions as well as medications. 92 responded and the female was transported to MGH.

W91 reports the blinking light at Shirley and Revere Street is not working. DPW notified.

Call from Somerset Avenue to report 45-year-old male is not breathing. Officer reports using eight Narcans and he is being taken to Whidden.

Uber driver came to the station with his latest fare and she reported that she left her pocketbook in the livery and when the Uber driver brought it back, there was about $50 missing. The fare just after her was also in Winthrop and this fare was the only person in the livery. No one saw the other lady take the money and the victim does not want anything done. Officer will ask the other passenger if she saw anything. No one saw anything.

Officer will try to serve two summons issued by the Chelsea Juvenile Court to subject on Cliff Avenue. She reports it was served a few days ago.

Female called from Marshall Street to report that her sister who is suicidal did to come home last night. She was told to come to the station with all her information and a photo if she has one. Off. McCarthy sent out a missing computer message, all surrounding hospitals were called along with the MBTA Police. Medical Examiner was also called, no unidentified African American females at their facility.

Caller at Ft. Heath Apartments reports the man upset airs is playing his music very loud again. He was explained to that all officers are off at a car accident and will send someone when one comes available.

Party on Nevada Street requests a well-being check for his neighbor whom he has already attempted to raise. Also says the music has been on loud for over a day. Units request WFD to the scene. Fire gained access and the subject as not home and the music was turned off.
