Joe Boncore Reception

State Senate candidate Joe Boncore will host a reception Friday night at the Beachmont VFW Hall in Revere and a large crowd is expected to be on hand as Joe officially launches his bid for the seat previously held by Anthony Petruccelli. Boncore has been campaigning throughout the district and is getting a very good response from the voters. Joe participated in a Boston Ward 5 Democratic Committee candidates’ forum Tuesday night. Joe articulated his message well before an audience of mostly Beacon Hill residents (State Rep. Jay Livingstone of Beacon Hill received the Ward 5 Committee’s endorsement).

There are seven candidates for the seat. Paul Rogers of East Boston has entered the race, joining Joe Boncore, Jay Livingstone, Lydia Edwards, Diana Hwang, Dan Rizzo, and Steve Morabito in the field for the Democratic primary election that is scheduled for April 12.
