Police Blotter 10-22-2015

Monday, October 12

Party on Highland Avenue called to say that his wife is having a “serious nervous breakdown.” He was not sure on what to say to me and EMS. You could hear a female, probably his wife, yelling in the background. What are you doing?” He then said to forget it, as he said this EMS and myself told him we are still coming by. Officers report the subject was checked out by EMS and she signed a release form.

Mother reports that her daughter left her pocketbook on the bench and described the property and contents accurately. Beige pocketbook returned to proper owner.

Caller on Main Street reports that the person on the second floor is yelling at her and now yelling in the street. Officers report landlord/tenant dispute over work being done on the house. Tenant just wanted advance notice, matter settled for the time being. Worker will finish the job today.

Nurse from Golden Drive called to report that an elderly male she checks up on was just checked and had no pulse and very weak breathing. EMS notified and will respond.

Caller on Wheelock Street reports that his father is spitting up and needs an ambulance. Fire and ambulance notified and will respond.

Male called to report that he saw three men looking at the planes at Yirrell Beach and they were on cell phones. Caller did not see a vehicle or any other means of transportation, nor did he see if they left or where they went. Officer reports the area is clear on both sides of the wall. No men in the area in or out of a vehicle. Officer will check back later.

Caller on Sargent Street reports noticing some dents on the hood of his car. It appears someone either sat or possibly jumped on his car.

Party on Tewksbury Street reports that two young ladies going door to door ringing door bells. Officer reports people speaking about their faith, all clear.

Reports of a man down in the parking lot of Woodside Hardware. He may have had a heart attack. EMS notified. Officers Ramidani and Gregorian report that the vehicle operated by heart attack victim struck two other vehicles.

Party on Shore Drive reports a neighbor issue that is ongoing. 91 reports speaking with the caller and will file a report.

Caller reports a couple shooting up on Sargent Street. They were in a white car. 94 reports that the area is clear.

Party on Overlook Drive stated that her friend called and has fallen on the floor. EMD notified.

Many calls of a house fire on Dolphin Avenue. Caller also reports a person may be stuck on the 3rd floor. WFD notified. W91, W92 and W94 responded and restricted vehicular access to the area. W97 on the scene to assist. Lieutenant requests assistance from MSP, so done. Paul Revere Bus Co. directed to cease service along Shirley Street.

 

Tuesday, October 13

Party on Plummer Avenue called to report a fire or smoke alarm went off in her basement. Fire will respond.

Daughter from Virginia Beach called to report that her 60 year old mother on Bellevue Avenue is disoriented. Fire and Off. Loyola report she is going to Melrose Wakefield. The daughter was notified.

Report of a blue boy’s bike was stolen from building at Viking Gardens.

Call from East Boston Court reporting that Judge MacDonald has ordered us to a Capias that they are going to fax to us. Officer reports she is not at the house.

Caller on Myrtle Avenue request that an offer respond to check on the well being of her sister. We located the sister and reports that she is okay and will call her sister.

Resident on Shore Drive reports the building has no electric power. She thinks it has something to do with the fire around the corner on Dolphin Avenue. National Grid was called and they will check it out.

Party found a colorful purse and turned it in to the Chief.

Report of a motor vehicle entered and some items stolen on Seymour street.

Caller at Energy To Go reports that his motor vehicle was taken by his brother and father. The vehicle belongs to his grandmother. A call to the station was made by the father stating that his son was not the rightful owner of the vehicle. All parties are currently claiming the mother/grandmother gave them the car. It appears to be a civil matter amongst family members as to who the grandmother/mother is allowing to drive her vehicle. All parties notified as much. Some items belonging to parties left inside the vehicle and they were informed to contact their family to retrieve the items.

Report of a car break at Viking Gardens.

Caller on Shirley Street reports a group of kids inside a car, setting off alarms and causing a disturbance. Units report subjects in the vehicle were went o their way. They claim to be waiting for a friend.

 

Wednesday, October 14

Party on Beal Street reports that her husband is not feeling well. Call transferred to EMD for service.

Officer observed to people in a motor vehicle at Halford Park. Officer spoke with them and had the leave the area.

Medical request received for resident at Seal Harbor.

Detectives request unit check on party on Shirley Street per the court. Units dispatched and report the subject was not home. They also checked the local store and both locations were negative.

Several calls of alarm sound on Myrtle Avenue. Unit 91 dispatched and WFD notified. WFD on the scene and were investigating a fire alarm. Unit reports WFD resetting alarm and all is clear.

942 off to Floyd Street to check on a party there. Officer reports the party present at the house. The male claims he actually lives  permanently elsewhere in Boston.

Party on Revere Street reports that on October 8th, he left a Jeep orange jogging stroller on his porch and someone has taken it.

Reports of a dead squirrel on the sidewalk on Revere Street. Caller was very upset. ACO contacted and will take care of the carcass.

Mother of a resident of our town came in to thank an officer for the caring response she received when she reported a situation involving her daughter and her male live-in.

Party came into the station to report being rear ended at the stop sign in front of the police station. She wanted this reported as the other operator did not want to process this through their insurance companies, but she is reluctant to do so. Officer advised her to file an accident report.

Request for an ambulance for a male on Pearl Avenue.

Caller on Shirley Street reports being harassed from a female from Revere via text. She wanted this logged for a possible future harassment order. The party then called back stating that the female is still texting her and wants it noted. She will save all the texts overnight and come in tomorrow to show us.

Neighbors on Myrtle Avenue report loud music and voices in the back yard once again. Officers report the music was off but there was a fire burning in the backyard. WFD was contacted and responded to extinguish the fire.

 

Thursday, October 15

Party on Winthrop Street reports that her mother is not feeling well. Call transferred to EMD and WFD for service.

Officer located motor vehicle at Winthrop Golf Club with an open trunk and golf clubs inside it. Officers checked the entire area to no avail. The trunk of the vehicle was secured.

Caller on Tewksbury Street reports that his aunt collapsed on the floor but is breathing. Call transferred to EMD and WFD for service.

Party on Winthrop Street reports that yesterday while working in his cellar somebody stole some art work from his home.

Reports of a National Water Main truck following behind a female too closely when she was driving her grandson to school The caller reports the truck pulled off onto Revere Street. W91, after clearing the crossing, checked the area and the truck was not around. W91 reports locating the truck in town and spoke with the operator regarding his driving habits.

Family members will be responding to the family home on Winthrop Street to assist with a cleaning out and picking up their belongings.

Court requests we pick up a party on Shirley Street on a capias from the judge. Officers report locating that party. W92 transported the female to the station with W91 following behind. At the station, 957 joined W92 for the transport to the courthouse.

Party at Viking Gardens requests an ambulance for stomach pain.

Caller on Enfield Road requests an ambulance for his wife.

East Boston Neighborhood Health requests medical for a party that has fallen and hurt his knee.

Party came to the station after visiting the family home on Winthrop Street to report that the items her brother reported earlier are not missing. The reporter states that the Realtor involved with the sale of the property has seen the reported missing property. A relative believes that a false police report was made earlier to us.

Sister on Trident Avenue has not been able to reach her brother who had recent surgery. We reached him via phone and he is well and will call his sister.

Female on Kennedy Road called to report that she had already reported her cat missing. She now located the cat in a pipe. ACO notified. The caller reports getting the cat out. All is okay.

A resident came in to report that a young mother wheeling her baby in a carriage found his lost wallet with a substantial amount of cash in it. She then walked across town to return it to him, without accepting a reward.

Caller on Shore Drive requesting ambulance for his wife with pain for several days.

Reports of a woman on a moped on Winthrop Street with a child on it, who then ran a stop sign and almost struck him. All units BOLOed to check the area. Detail Off. 941 reports the moped just went by him with three on the moped. One was standing on the handle bars. Officers located that moped with three occupants at Veterans and Almont. 902 assisted. The child was not wearing a DOT approved helmet. Multiple charges filed for operation of vehicle with suspended license, unregistered motor vehicle, operating recklessly so as do endanger, failing to stop, child endangerment, moped violation and moped violation, no DOT helmet.

Local resident found money a few weeks ago at Point Shirley. He left his name and number should someone call looking for it.

Party came to the station for assistance with retrieving items from her estranged daughter-in-law. Message was left and the party was informed of a civil process.

Male at Alcohol & Drug Free Lodging Home complaining of chest pains.

Subject called regarding an ongoing domestic situation. The caller was advised that his current 209A had been extended until October 2016 by the court. He was told that my notification to him via the phone call was to be considered service to him. An advocate for him who came to the station earlier was also told that the 209 had been extended.

Report of a male who appears to be passed out on Kennedy Road. Caller from housing then said he was moving away down Kennedy Road. W91 responded and checked the area. He also walked into the marsh area to check and the area is clear.

Customer at Cumberland Farms having chest pains.

Party reports he was out with the children and when he returned home to Edwards Street to his apartment he observed damage. He is alleging it was caused by his wife who is not living with them at the present time. Officers report advising him the property is co-owned. He will seek redress through civil court. He then reported that his wife is outside shouting and curating a disturbance. He believes the maybe high on drugs. Officers responded and report the subject is not in the area.

Caller on Johnson Avenue reports that his motor vehicle just had the window shot out with a BB or pellet gun and he belies others may be shot out as well. Officers report observing at least four vehicles with window damage. They will attempt to notify the owners.

 

Friday, October 16

Party on South Main Street called requesting EMS for her father. Call transferred to EMD and WFD for service.

Caller on Woodside Avenue is requesting EMS for an elderly family member. Call transferred to EMD and WFD for service.

Owner of Lucky Corner Convenience reports that sometime between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., the newspaper delivery for the store was taken. He will review the video of the outside to see if there is any footage and advise the department.

Party on Franklin Street reports that their motor vehicle was missing from their driveway.  A stolen report was sent out via Foxfire. A copy was given to the owner.

Report of low hanging wire across Locust Street. W91 responded and reports that he believes it is a cable wire but that it is low enough to catch a SUV-type car. Fire notified and will handle.

Haverhill Police requesting we contact and notify party on Circuit Road regarding an incident in their city. W91 dispatched and reports no answer at the residence. A note was left for named individual to contact the other agency.

Resident’s daughter came to the station to report an attempt to scam her father. The reporter states that he receive a call from a party reporting that his grandson had been arrested by Cambridge Police and that he was innocent but that the grandfather needed to deposit $7,800 into a bank account at the Bank of America. The daughter was home at the time and was able to intercede. The reporter called the number back and then was hung up on.

Woman reports there may have been an accident at the Honey Dew but she did not see it, but that two males are now pushing each other. W91 and W92 responded and report speaking to two males who report it was a third party that caused the accident and they are now exchanging papers.

Party at Fort Heath Apartments called to report that a tenant made threats against the life of the superintendent of the building.

Caller on Johnson Avenue reports that someone shot her vehicle, possibly with a BB gun. Officer verified the damage and it is related to a rash of other calls regarding same and a report will be submitted.

Party reports that he was visiting his wife’s gravesite and observed damage to the stone, believed to have been cause by workers. The was provided with the cemetery department number and advised it would be logged at his request.

Male turned in a BB gun that he had in a closet and he no longer wants.

W97 reports suspicious individuals a motor vehicle on Quincy Avenue reported to him by a citizen with a possible 94C violation. W97 and shift units checking the area. After area search, units unable to find any violations and one motor vehicle was tagged for corner violation.

Boston PD called requesting we check on a possible suicidal female that sometimes stays on Hermon Street. Officer reports that the grandmother states that she left this morning to “check herself in somewhere.” Boston PD notified. If she returns, the grandmother will notify us.

Check on a possible drunk individual on Cottage Park Road. Officer located the subject and brought him home to his wife in East Boston.

Caller reports that someone is attempting to break into a car in the parking lot on Washington Avenue. Initial called back stating it was a customer picking up his car and he is now gone. Units clear.

Female caller on Shirley Street reports that the woman upstairs is screaming inside the apartment. Officers report both parties claim it was a verbal argument. The male party will leave for the evening.

 

Saturday, October 17

Party on Tileston Road requested EMS for his wife. Call transferred to EMD and WFD for service.

Several calls regarding a motor vehicle crash at the Lodge of Elks. WFD contacted to respond. Officer report two motor vehicles involved and they are requesting two tow trucks. The operator of the vehicle was transported to MGH via EMS and a taxi was requested for a passenger present in the vehicle.

Caller on Shirley Street reports that a group of kids in front of her house being very loud. Units report two kids who live in the area will take it in for the night.

Party on Plummer Avenue reports a party gong on in the back yard. Unit 94 reports two males sent inside for the night.

Essex Regional 911 reports a cell phone call from Read Street regarding smoke detectors sounding in the home. Call transferred to WFD for service. Officer reports faulty alarm that was reset by WFD.

Party on Shirley Street came to the station to report that his vehicle was stolen from outside his house.

Caller on Lorean Terrance reports that her brother is having trouble breathing at his home across the street.

Party on Plummer Avenue reports that her water is not working after the town hooked up yesterday. DPW notified.

Male party walked into the station to report that someone from this town was making harassing phone calls to him. Officer spoke to that alleged suspect. All parties were advised of their rights.

Two calls by both tenant and landlord on Main Street regarding a dispute about maintenance trying to be done inside an apartment. Officers report landlord did not want to listen to them, but the tenant was willing to let the maintenance worker in for 15 mutes to fix issues.

Medical aid for female party on Woodside Avenue.

Officer reports towing vehicle for revoked insurance on Tewksbury Street. Vehicle towed to private property.

Owner at Crystal Cove Inn called regarding a situation with a guest who indicated that they expect to stay loner than they booked the room for and that they paid for. The caller wanted us to be aware of the situation, should there be a problem later.

Officer assisted a trooper with the disposal of Sharps on the beach on Shore Drive.

Party on Walden Place called to inquire if any assessors were going around door to door today. Caller was informed that we had no information that they were. However, we did know that they were doing this in the recent past. Female caller was concerned as she had allowed someone inside her home just based on what the party at her door told her and that she had some ID. Caller was advised to check with us first before letting someone into her home, not after the fact.

Report of a fight at the courts on Walden Street. People pushing each other. The area was clear.

Reports of a stolen fire on Revere Street. People were told to exit by Essex Regional and the caller hung up. Upon officer’s arrival, they report that everyone was out of the building. The fire may be out on the stove but there is gas they are worried about and smoke in the house. Fire on the scene.

Party on Pleasant Street called to report that he located his brother who has been missing from sober houses in the past several weeks and estranged from the family due to addictions. Approximately 20 minutes ago, caller states that he wanted his brother to come with him to get help and his brother was talking nonsense. He is afraid he will hurt himself. The caller stated that he did not make any direct threats to harm himself. W91 and W92 checked the area of Pleasant Street and surrounding areas to no avail. W92 responded to another family member’s home to speak with them and advised them of all options. Family members may file an endangered person report to be sent out. The mother came to the station to complete paperwork for a missing and endangered person. Message sent out over Foxfire. The brother called to report receiving a call from his brother asking for help. The brother responded and picked him up. Missing message cancelled.

Sunday, October 18

Caller on Sea Foam Avenue reports hearing what he thought were gunshots. Unit report the area is clear.

92 encounters a subject on Shore Drive lighting off fireworks. Subject was dispersed from the area.

Caller at D&T Market states he was woken up by the sound of fireworks. Units respond and report the area is clear.

Report of someone taking pictures of planes at the public landing.

Call from an employee at East Boston Neighborhood Health to report that earlier, a white vehicle pulled into the parking lot and walked up to the front door and stole two Sunday newspaper that were delivered there. They got a partial plate.

Code officer requests a marked cruiser to assist at Vine and Pleasant Street. He states construction going on and vehicles parked on these sidewalk.

Party came in to the station and stats he was reported missing from Fitchburg PD. He is fine and missing person cancelled. Officer spoke to Fitchburg PD and they are made are of the situation.

Caller states that there are two people trying to pump gas at Cumberland Farms. He thinks they may be under the influence. Officer reports call was 10 minutes old and no one was around.
