Coffee with A Cop Thursday Night

We agree wholeheartedly with Police Chief Terence Delehanty that the interactions between residents and police officers in a friendly, informative environment are the foundation of community partnerships. That’s why Coffee With A Cop — scheduled for tonight (Thursday) at 6 p.m. at the Norman Seifert Ferry Terminal Building at the Public Landing on Shirley Street — looks like a worthy event for your consideration.

Sgt. Mary Crisafi and Det. Dawne Armitstead have been busy planning the Coffee With A Cop forum and their public relations efforts in promoting this event are to be commended. It’s clear that this event has the support of the WPD leadership and the entire department.

We encourage, as Chief Delehanty stated in last week’s Sun-Transcript, residents to come to the event, listen to the presentation by the officers, ask questions in an informal one-on-one setting — and enjoy a cup of coffee as well.
