Renato DiZio

Active in East Boston religious, sports and community organizations

Renato P. DiZio died on July 20 at the age of 92.

Mr. DiZio was a US Marine Corps veteran of World War II, an active member of East Boston Little League, Secretary of the Dom Savio Fathers Club, longtime usher at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church and St. John the Evangelist Church, a member of the East Boston CDC and a life long fan of the Boston Red Sox.

He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy (DiCesare); devoted father of James DiZio and his wife, Cindy of Essex and Adele Fiandaca and her husband, Hon. Kenneth Fiandaca of Winthrop; dear brother of Peter DiZio of Derry, NH and the late Frances Gallo and Conrard DiZio; adored grandfather of Anthony and Renata Fiandaca and Emma and Eve DiZio. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends may honor Mr. DiZio by gathering today, Thursday, July 23 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, Winthrop Street, Winthrop for a Funeral Mass in Celebration of his Life. Services will conclude with Mr. DiZio being laid to rest alongside his beloved wife, Nancy at Holy Cross Cemetery. William Wall, Jr.

Member of Pleasant Park Yacht Club, Winthrop Elks and Revere VFW

William H. Wall, Jr, of Winthrop, formerly of Revere, passed away on Saturday, July 11 surrounded by his loving family. He was 76 years old.

William served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Pleasant Park Yacht Club, Revere VFW and the Winthrop Elks.

The cherished son of the late Frances (Harvey) and William H. Wall, Sr. , he was the beloved husband of Frances E. (Hawco) Wall; loving father of Lillian Wall-Larson, William Wall, James Wall, Christopher Wall, Cynthia Wall and her husband, Robert Richard and Craig Wall and his wife, Whitney; adored grandfather of Matthew Wall; caring brother of the late Virginia, Barbara, George and Richard and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends will honor William’s life by gathering at the Winthrop Yacht Club, 649 Shirley St., Winthrop on Sunday, July 26 from 5 to 9 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 6 p.m..
