Varone,Letterie Seek Community Input

Precinct 1 Town Councilor Paul Varone and Precinct 2’s James Letterie are conducting a neighborhood meeting for residents in those two precincts on July 9 at 7 p.m, at the E.B. Newton School regarding the PJP Realty Trust, owner of the property located at 15-17 Walden St. The two councilors are seeking additional output from neighbors before casting their votes on the project being proposed by PJP at that location.

This is local government at its best and we commend these two councilors for taking the time to meet with the voters and let all opinions be heard in a good, vigorous discussion. This is another example of the wisdom shown by those who proposed our present town government format and chose to have six precinct councilors so that our elected officials can bring this type of personal approach to our government and townspeople.

We hope that residents will take advantage of this opportunity to discuss the Walden Street property with the owner.
