What better way to welcome the warmer weather than with the Winthrop Arts and Letter Crawl that is set for today beginning at 5 p.m. Local writer Kate Anslinger will kick it off with an author reading event at the Winthrop book Depot and Cafe at 11 Somerset Avenue. Blackstrap BBQ will provide appetizers at this event.
Then it’s on to the Cultural Center for additional activities including The Winner’s Circle Exhibition in the Clock Tower Gallery showcasing the ribbon-winning pieces from the Spring Art Festival.
Then the group will move on to the Frost Public Library where award-winning illustrator Frank Costantino will display his works at the FMC Gallery. The Waterfront CREW will read their poems at the Public Library and there will be a brief presentation by the Winthrop Improvement and Historical Association. There will be food provided by JW’s Restaurant and the Kasbah Restaurant.
The evening concludes with a musical presentation by lyricist Jacque Dorier and a performance by the Squeezebox Stompers at Beacon Photography and Framing Studio.
The Winthrop Marketplace and Swett’s Liquors will provide desserts.
