Monday, February 23

Caller on Maryland Avenue reports a yellow lab type dog appears to have been struck by a car.

Male party walked into the lobby requesting an ambulance, stating he is feeling under the weather.

Party on Beach Road reports a loose pit bull roaming the area.

Caller reports that during the last storm he had a vehicle belonging to his boss parked in the Landing during the ban. He reports that the vehicle sustained damage to the rear possibly by a plow. No accidents with vehicles in Landing reported involving plows over the weekend. The caller was advised to file a report.

Party on Hermon Street reports wires down from her house. She believes they were taken down by a large icicle. Officer responded and reports wires appear to be cable and party will contact them.

Male caller on Shirley Street reports a very large goose in the road just sitting there. He is concerned for the goose’s safety. Animal control officer contacted and will respond.

Report of a minor motor vehicle accident on Argyle Street. Officer reports no injures reported and he is assisting individuals in exchanging of insurance papers.

Several reports of a swan sitting in the middle of Shirley Street obstructing traffic.

Caller reports a vehicle parked all day in handicap spot on Shirley Street. Officer will check it out. Operator checked out and was conducting business.

Female on Pauline Street reports she is trying to assist a woman there and is cold. Hard to understand. Transferred to WFD and they will handle.

Female reports an unknown car in her driveway on Main Street and males got out and went across the street into a vacant home. Officers report checking it out and it was contractors unloading. They will move vehicle immediately.

Tuesday, February 24

Received abandoned calls from Seal Harbor. No answer on the line. Officer gained entrance with the concierge and reports nobody home at the residence.

Caller reports that his vehicle was hit at Quick Foodmart on Shirley Street.

Vehicles parked on the corner of Grovers and Veterans which are obstructing traffic.

Det. Armistead reports receiving a call from one of the parents stating that her child has fallen somewhere in the rear of the Middle School. WFD and EMS notified. Officers report locating the child and patient was transported to MGH via EMS with an ankle injury.

Report of an elderly man who slipped in the street near Jim’s Autobody. They picked him up and had him sit down in the shop. He has injured himself and needs to be checked out.

Party on Sea View Avenue with an Active ERO came to the station to get an officer escort in order to pick up his belongings at the home.

Caller on Ingleside Avenue states that she needs an ambulance for her father.

Party came to the station to report there is a 20-foot mound of snow in the rear of the First Church United Methodist blocking the view of the children that are entering and exiting the building for Kids Curtain Call. She would like this removed for the safety of the children.

Party came to the station to register as a Level 3 sex offender.

Caller on Sunset Road reporting loud music from a neighbor. Officers report speaking with the subject of the complaint. All quiet.

Wednesday, February 25

Officer reports coming across a man lying in the middle of Shore Drive and Perkins Street. Backup called. Upon rousing the party. Officer says the man was put out of the house after an argument and decided to sleep in the street. He was there for an undetermined amount of time and snow-covered and barely recognizable. WFD/Action evaluated and transported him to MGH, just ahead of oncoming snowplows and hypothermia.

Party on Somerset Avenue requesting medical attention for mother in pain.

Caller at East Boston Neighborhood Health requested EMS for a medical emergency. Call transferred to WFD and EMS for service. Participant was choking. WFD reports the object was dislodged prior to their arrival.

Party on River Road reports someone left their car keys in the door of a car parked near their home. Officer reports he will leave a note for the owner to pick up the keys here at the station. No answer at the door.

Male party on Wilshire Street request to speak with WFD. Call transferred to WFD and EMS. He reports having difficulty breathing.

Party on Ocean Avenue requesting an ambulance for sister with broken leg.

Caller reports one of their clients at the Arbors is agitated and they are requesting EMS.

Party on Pearl Avenue reports a dumpster has been left in the street partially obstructing the road. Officer reports the dumpster is in the street. The owner was contacted through a family member and it will be rectified.

Calls of a swan on Shirley Street. Message left for ACO.

Walk-in requesting medical. Fire and EMS notified.

Party on Wilshire Street reports that her son did not come home after school. She is in contact with the SRO and would like us to keep a lookout for him. Units notified.

SRO Armistead reports locating youth from prior call at Energy To Go and returning him home.

Caller on Palmyra Street states that his mother needs medical assistance.

Thursday, February 26

Caller states that she just arrived home on Sturgis Street to an open door and would like an officer to check it out prior to her entering. Officers conducted walk-through. All clear.

Party on Pleasant Street reports she got into an argument with her daughter and she left the house without permission. Officer reports he’s off with the female on Main Street. Units report party has been returned to her mother.

Caller on Nevada Street reports a car blocking his door to his house. Officer requested a tow for the vehicle that is completely obstructing the path into the home. GJ Towing contacted and will respond.

Health Dept. called and reports a motor vehicle is parked on the intersection of Sea View and Pleasant Street. Officer tagged the vehicle and will attempt to have it moved by the owner.

Officer reports motor vehicle on Winthrop Street is showing expired registration. He spoke with the owner who will renew it online ASAP.

Officer requested a tow for a motor vehicle with expired registration parked at the Public Landing. GJ Towing notified and will respond.

Two 911 calls reporting a male fell and may have broken his arm. WFD and EMS notified. Officers report 68 year old subject was transported to Beth Israel via EMS.

Lock down drill carried out at the Cumming School. All units advised and will assist as assigned.

Call of a dog that running in the street in the area of Palmyra Street. ACO notified and will respond.

Caller requests medical for his father on Walden Street. Medical notified.

Mother on Shirley Street reports that her son took off from her car into the Lewis Lake area. Units notified and checking the area. Mother called back to say that the child is in her custody.

Caller from Thompson’s Towne Liquor states that there is a man down inside the store and they need medical assistance.

 

Friday, February 27

Report of a water leak in front of Brothers Restaurant. DPW has been notified.

Alarm activation for main foyer of a house on Sunnyside Avenue. Officer reports building appears secure. It may have been set off by a package delivery. Owner arrived on the scene, so officers will go inside and check out the property. There is a pipe broke in the rear area of the home. Two family members are on the scene and will take care of that situation.

Received a summons to be served to subject on Main Street from the Salem Superior Court. Officer reports serving the party in hand with the summons. Return of Service will be faxed back to the court.

WFD called to state a vehicle is parked and it is blocking the street and fire engine at Letterie’s Italian Market. Fire and officer went to the local stores and could not find the owner. Officer requests tow as the vehicle is in the middle of the street. GJ notified. Owner then came out and the vehicle was moved.

Caller requests a well being check on his friend at Viking Gardens. He has not heard from or been able to contact him.

Party on Harbor View Street requests medical assistance for his wife.

Woman on Revere Street reports that her dog was struck. W91 on the scene and ACO was notified and responded.

Saturday, February 28

 

Caller on Crescent Street reports CO1 detector activation. Call transferred to WFD.

Manager of the CVS reports a motor vehicle appears to have struck the CVS building sometime overnight.

Female on Charles Street reports having difficulty breathing.

Caller on Bowdoin Street reports feeling dizzy.

Female caller on Egelton Park reports injury to her leg.

Caller on Sagamore Avenue reports a dog left outside in the cold in a neighbor’s yard for an extended period of time.

Officer will try to serve subject on Hutchinson Street a summons issued by the Cambridge District Court. He reports no answer at the door.

Caller reports there is a swan sitting in the road at the Public Landing. Officer reports she moved the swan out of the way. This problem is caused by people feeding the swan in the area. ACO may have to relocate it.

Report of a water leak from the street going in a basement on Cottage Park Road. DPW notified.

Visiting Nurse reports a patient has fallen on Winthrop Street and needs assistance getting up.

Caller states he is unable to get by the area of Winthrop Arms due to cars blocking the street and parked in the wrong direction. Unit reports no blocking of the street. All vehicles parked correctly. Attendants will be on the scene to assist in parking issues. Current situation understandable due to tight quarters.

Female at Governors Park called to report that her bank informed her that there was a charge from Sprint totaling over $600. Her bank issued her a new card and she wants this noted for replacement card. No further information was given to the officer at this particular time including bank statements.

Worker at Quick Foodmart called to say she called after a woman gave her a hard time. Female has left prior to the call. All is okay.

Female called to report that her I-phone was taken from Foxwoods Casino this morning and she has pinged it to a location on Hermon Street. Multiple dwellings. Unit stood by to try to listen for the phone. Phone calls to locate are going in voice mail after being unanswered. No further information available at this time.

Sunday, March 1

Officer will again try to serve subject on Hutchinson Street a summons issued by the Cambridge District Court. He reports no one answered the door and the name on the summons is not on a mailbox.

Female called to report she and others just assisted an elderly lady who fell on the ice between the 7-11 and Winthrop Marketplace. The lady wanted no other help and left. Officer and Code Enforcement report the owners are taking care of the ice.

Report of sewage coming into basement of house on Winthrop Street. DPW notified.

Wireless 911 caller reports elderly female struck by a motor vehicle in the parking lot of Michael’s Mall. WFD notified.

Female reports she is missing $200 from her purse.

Male on Johnson Avenue came in to report he received a text from a phone number he never saw. None of the text messages had any threats.

Several calls of large fireworks in the Hannaford Park area. Red picket up truck with ladder described leaving the scene. Officers report stopping vehicle and confiscating small amount of fireworks from the operator.

Male caller from Viking Gardens reports the people next door to his mother are giving her a hard time. Officer reports speaking to all parties and peace has been restored and parties advised of their rights.

Male on Golden Drive needs an ambulance. WFD notified and will handle.

Party on Revere Street has a problem his hip. WFD and officer report the male will be taken to MGH.

Female on Overlook Drive not feeling well. Transferred to Whidden and they will handle.

Male on Pauline Street requests if we can check on his nephew. He has not been able to get in touch with him and is afraid he may be hurt. Unit reports speaking to the nephew who will contact his uncle. The uncle was informed and was grateful for our help.

Monday, March 2

Female called to report a male sitting in a car for the third day on Yirrill Beach and she is concerned. Officer reports person is known to us, all okay.
