Clark Named Assistant Whip in House of Representatives

Congresswoman Katherine Clark has been appointed by U.S. House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer to serve as Assistant Whip in the 114th Congress.

“Families at home are frustrated by the disconnect between their needs and the priorities in the Republican led Congress,” said Clark. “I am grateful to Congressman Hoyer for the opportunity to help Democrats in Congress continue to fight for families across the country by protecting social security, ensuring fair wages and making child care more affordable.”

“In Congress, Congresswoman Clark is a champion for women and families and is an essential voice for her district, our country, and our party,” said Congressman Hoyer. “She brings an important perspective to the whip team, and I look forward to working with her in this new role as we build an economy that works for everyone.”
