Peter Struzziero Steps Down as Library Director

Peter Struzziero, director of the Winthrop Public Library, will step down from his position to become the director of libraries for the Town of Arlington.

Struzziero will leave his position in Winthrop on Dec. 10 following an 18-month tenure as director of the Winthrop Public Library. He will begin his new job in Arlington on Dec. 22.

“It was a big surprise to be selected. I’m excited but it’s bittersweet because I had really begun to do some great work here and built some great relationships,” said Struzziero. “We brought people back to the library and it really turned the corner.

“I want to thank everyone – the town manager’s office, the Town Council – for all their support.”
