Dorothy Suttie

Retired Deputy Director for Comm of Mass

Dorothy A. (Driscoll) Suttie of Winthrop passed away on September 2. She was 87 years old.

Prior to her retirement, Dorothy was the Deputy Director for Marine and Recreational Vehicles for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The beloved wife of the late Richard J. Suttie, she was born in Boston, the daughter of the late John L. and Margaret (O’Donnell) Driscoll. She was the devoted mother of James R. Suttie and his wife, MaryLou of Winthrop; adored grandmother of Jessica (Suttie) Rumrill and her husband, James of Stoneham and James R. Suttie, Jr. and his companion, Jenny Latta of Revere; dear sister of the late Arthur J., Francis, Brendan, Eugene, and Florence J. Driscoll, Helen J. Milano, and Margaret Parker and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home, Winthrop. Burial was in Winthrop Cemetery. Donations in her memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Assn. of MA/NH, 480 Pleasant St. Watertown, MA, 02472. For guestbook, please visit www.mauricekirbyfh.com.
