Lucille Sevinor

Longtime Marblehead Resident

Lucille Sevinor, formerly of Marblehead, died at the Leonard Florence Center for Living in Chelsea on August 1. She was 96 years old.

Lucille was born on June 5, 1918 in Brockton and at age six moved to Hyde Park. She was the daughter of the late Abraham Mezansky and Dorothy (Block) Mezansky and resided in Marblehead for most of her life.

She was the devoted and loving wife of the late Leo Sevinor with whom she shared 71 years of marriage. They married in 1941 and within three months theeafter, Leo was drafted into the US Army and served as an infantryman and sharpshooter in the Phillipines. In all, he served five years in the US Army during which time they were apart. He received numerous medals including the Phillipine Liberation Ribbon and the Bronze Service Star.

Lucille was a member of Temple Israel in Swampscott and Congregation Shirat Hayam. She was a lifelong member of Temple Israel’s Sisterhood, the Marblehead-Swampscott Chapter of Hadassah and a volunteer at Salem Hospital.

Lucille was the devoted and loving mother of Dr. Sheldon Sevinor and Ruthann Sevinor and Ralph and Meryle Sevinor and Gary Sevinor and his wife, Lydia. She was the adored grandmother to Cara Fineman and her husband, David Sobol, Jared Sevinor and Jordan Sevinor; the loving great grandmother to Alexa, Dylan and Gavin Sobol of Wellesley. She was also the cherished sister of Jeanette and Alan Ablow, the late Bernard Mason and Eugene Mezansky.

“LUCILLE HAD A KNACK FOR MAKING EVERYBODY WHO CAME INTO HER LIFE FEEL IMPORTANT, BEAUTIFUL AND CHERISHED. THERE WAS NO ONE LIKE HER AND THERE NEVER WILL BE”, SAID DR. SEVINOR.

Mrs. Sevinor’s Funeral was held at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, Swampscott, on August 3. Internment was at the Temple Israel Section of Congregation Shirat Hayam Cemetery on Lowell Street in Peabody. Shiva was held at Woodbridge Assisted Living in Peabody following the interment.

Roberta ‘Bobbie’ Edwards

Retired Registered Nurse; Member of Winthrop Catholic Women’s Club and St. John’s Mothers Club

Roberta K. “Bobbie” Edwards of Pleasant Street, Winthrop passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on August 3 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 90 years old.

Born in East Providence, Rhode Island, the beloved daughter of the late Margaret E. (Healey) and John W. O’Donnell, Sr., she was a longtime resident of Winthrop. She was employed for many years as a registered nurse working for the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jamaica Plain, the Winthrop Hospital, the Grover Manor and she also worked as a home care nurse for the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center. She was a member of the Winthrop Catholic Women’s Club and the St. John’s Mother’s Club.
The devoted wife of the late Lawrence J. Edwards, she was the loving mother of Geraldine Simons and her husband, Richard of Winthrop and the dear sister of Geraldine McCoy of Rumford, Rhode Island and the late Rev. Brendan O’Donnell, Elizabeth O’Neil and Mary Beattie; the cherished grandmother of Susan DiSilvio, John DiSilvio and Lauren M. Sweeney and is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the Ernest P. Caggiano and Son-O’Maley Funeral Home, 147 Winthrop St., Winthrop on Thursday, August 7 from 5 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, August 8 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow the mass in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Yvette St. Peter

Retired Supervisor for Mass. Dept. of Public Safety/Engineering Division; member of Winthrop Catholic Women’s Club and Winthrop Improvement and Historical Association

Yvette B. (aka, St. Pierre) St. Peter of Revere passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital on July 31. She was 87 years old.

Yvette was a member of the Winthrop Catholic Women’s Club and of the Winthrop Improvement and Historical Assn. She was also a longtime volunteer at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Prior to her retirement; she was employed for 38 years by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts-Dept. of Public Safety/Engineering Division as a supervisor, retiring in 1989.

Born in Fitchburg, the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Ernestine (Bolduc) St. Pierre, she was the cherished aunt of Barbara St. Pierre and her fiancé, Ron Dunckel of Euless, TX. Alan St. Pierre and his wife, Tomia of Wylie, TX. Debra Rogers and her husband, Doug of Holt, MI. and the late Craig St. Pierre. She is also survived by seven great-nieces and nephews. She was the dear sister of the late Horace J., Roland and Normand St. Pierre and the sister-in-law of Rosemarie St. Pierre of Lansing, MI.

Michael Feldman

Real Estate Broker

Michael G. Feldman of Winthrop entered into rest on August 1. He was 58 years old.

The beloved husband of Marcia (Richmond) Feldman he was born in Flushing, NY, the son of Marilyn (Oransky) Bass of Revere and the late Sol Feldman. He attended Winthrop Schools and was a graduate of Winthrop High School Class, of 1973. He later attended Salem State University where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree and then received his Master’s Degree from Springfield College. He worked as a Real Estate Broker for Keller-Williams Realty and also enjoyed painting.

In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves two daughters: Jenna Moar and her husband, Scott of Swampscott and Brittany Feldman of Winthrop; he was the brother of Daryl (Feldman) Bordonaro and her husband, Vincent of Medford and Marlena (Bass) Ward and her husband, Kevin of Wakefield and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services were held at the Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel in Salem and burial was in Danvers.
