Russell Crocker

Longtime electronics company logistics manager; of Quincy

Russell P. Crocker of Elm Street, Quincy passed away suddenly at the Quincy Medical Center on July 11. He was 61 years old.

Born in Lowell, the beloved son of Bryce H. Crocker and Madeline (Courtemanche), he has been a resident of Quincy for over 30 years and was employed as a logistics manager for an electronics company for many years.
He was the loving father of Christopher Crocker and his wife, Stefanie of Winthrop and the dear brother of Bryce Crocker of N. Chelmsford, Barbara Chase of Westford and the late James H. Crocker, II. He was the cherished grandfather of Christopher, Maxwell and Sophie.
Funeral services were conducted from the Ernest P. Caggiano and Son-O’Maley Funeral Home, Winthrop on Tuesday, July 15. Committal was private. To sign the online guestbook go to:www.caggianofuneralhome.com.

Bette Brooks

Hairdresser and long time Winthrop resident

Bette Brooks, a longtime resident of Winthrop, passed away peacefully at her residence on July 13. She was 93 years old.

Born in Nashua, New Hampshire, the dear daughter of the late Nicholas Anagnost and Alexandra Barambopoulos, she was the loving wife of 60 years to the late Henry E. Brooks. She attended the Nashua School System and went on to hairdressing school, a profession that she enjoyed for many years.

She is survived by two sons, George S. and his wife, Marianne of Winthrop and WiIliam E. and his wife, Kathleen of Greenfield, NH. She was the loving sister of James Anagnost of New Jersey and Augie Scheck of Chelsea and the late Tilly, Mary, Harry, Bill, Mike and Van. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Rosalind, Henry and Michael.

Graveside services will be conducted today, Thursday, July 17 at 1 p.m. at the Cross Street Section of Winthrop Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy in Bette’s memory be donated to the National Children’s Cancer Society, 1 Memorial Drive, Saint Louis, MO 63102.

Funeral arrangements are by the J.R. Frazier Funeral Home, Winthrop.
