Energy Grant a Key for Town

The Town of Winthrop has received a $50,000 energy grant in collaboration with the City of Chelsea which will allow the town to hire an energy manager to determine how energy savings can be made in the town. We commend Town Manager James McKenna and our Grants Manager, Joseph Domelowicz, for securing this important grant which will have long-term positive effects on our town. The grant can be renewed after three years and we would be remiss if we didn’t mention the continuing and major impact that Speaker of the House Robert A. DeLeo had in helping the town receive a grant that could result in considerable savings for our town.

The team of McKenna, Domelowicz, and DeLeo certainly delivered for all of Winthrop’s residents and for all who appreciate an environmentally-sound and cost-saving approach to issues relating to energy.
