Cheerleading Fundraiser: Come Join the Fun Saturday Night

We hope Winthrop residents will turn out to support our Winthrop High cheerleading squad at a fundraiser Saturday night at the Winthrop Yacht Club.

Our cheerleaders, led by head coach Rachel Mustone, are heading to the National Championships next month at ESPN’s Wide of Sports Complex at Disney World in Florida. The squad has been raising funds to help defray expenses for its trip to Florida.

The squad has been working hard since August and their support of our football team was well noted by the football players and their coach, Sean Driscoll, who personally made a donation to the cheerleaders from his family at the football awards banquet Sunday.

The cheerleaders deserve our support and we hope you can make it over to the Winthrop Yacht Club for what looks like a fun-filled event
