Mary Cecca

Lifelong East Boston Resident

Mary C. (Lindstrom) Cecca, a lifelong East Boston resident, died on October 25.

She was the beloved wife of the late Benjamin V. Cecca; devoted mother of Stephen B. and his wife, Diane of Winthrop, Paul V. and his wife, Sharon of Revere and Karen M. and her husband, Greg Capillo of West Peabody; daughter of the late Frederick and Dorothy (O’Dwyer) Lindstrom; sister of Dorothy Halpin of California, Patricia Ferraro of Billerica, Alice Cambria of East Boston, Catherine Lindstrom of California and the late Walter Lindstom. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral was held from the Magrath Funeral Home, East Boston on October 29. Interment was at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Dana-Farber Cancer Center would be appreciated. MagrathFuneralHome.com

Rose Prag

Former Resident of Chelsea and Revere

Rose (Kritchmar) Prag entered into rest on October 4. She was 91 years old.

An active member of many local organizations, Rose was a former resident of Chelsea and Revere. She was the daughter of the late Morris and Gussie Kritchmar; beloved wife of the late Milton Prag; devoted mother of Inez and Joseph Cole of Revere, Faith Taylor and Richard Caprio and Scott and Nancy Prag, all of Saugus and is also survived by her sister, Susan “Suki” Cohen and twin sister of the late Belle Pearlswig; Grammie” to grandchildren, Jason and Heather Cole, Pamela Cole and Jenny Prag; “Great-Ammie” to Elyssa and Halen Coleo; Aunty Rose to her many nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services took place at Chessed Shel Emeth Cemetery, Danvers. Memorial donations can be made to Epoch Senior Healthcare of Melrose, 15 Green St. Melrose, MA 02176 or to a charity of one’s choice.

Anthony Stack

Retired Whidden Hospital Purchasing Agent

Anthony C. Stack of Winthrop, formerly of Dublin, Ireland, passed away at home on October 26. He was 73 years old.

Anthony served in the Irish Army and was a member of the V.F.W. Beachmont, Revere Post#6712. Prior to his retirement, he worked as purchasing agent for the Whidden Hospital.

The beloved husband of Helen E. (Lipsett) Stack, he was born in Dublin, Ireland, the son of the late Gerald and Mary (Keogh) Stack. He was the devoted father of Tony Stack and his wife, Dawn, Paul Stack and his wife, Joan, Stephen Stack and his wife, Una and the late Malachy Stack, all of Dublin, Ireland; step-father of Ronald Taylor of Winthrop and loving grandfather to many grandchildren. He was the dear brother of Mary Kelly, Breda Lynch, Patsy Griffin and Joe Stack, all of Ireland. He was pre-deceased by 16 sisters and brothers.

His Funeral will be held from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home, 210 Winthrop St., Winthrop on Saturday, November 2 at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. John the Evangelist Church, Winthrop at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Cremation following the Mass will be private. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday only between 6 and 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the V.F.W. Agnes ‘Bette’ Pearsall

Of Belchertown, formerly of Winthrop

Agnes E. “Bette” (Chisholm) Pearsall of Belchertown, formerly of Winthrop and Green Harbor, passed away on October 24. She was 86 years old.

The beloved wife of the late Arthur J. Pearsall, she was born in Winthrop, the daughter of the late Walter and Agnes (Finn) Chisholm. She was the devoted mother of Arthur J. Pearsall Jr. of Winthrop, John M. Pearsall and his wife, Mary Ellen Miller of Belchertown, and Peter G. Pearsall and his wife, Kathy of Derry, NH; adored grandmother of Robert, Sean and Patrick Pearsall; dear sister of the late Virginia King, Marie Butler, Helen Healey, Barbara Meldrum, and Phyllis Eddy and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
