Police Presence in Front of Middle School

There was a peaceful and orderly demonstration outside the middle school Tuesday and we noticed a Winthrop Police officer stationed in front of the middle school. And we must say, he was doing an excellent job making sure that the sign-holders remained on the sidewalk across the street and didn’t interfere with traffic on Pauline Street. We know the group has only positive intentions, but we’re glad that Police Chief Terence Delehanty chose to station a police officer outside the school to ensure safety for all.
