Barbara Falino

Former Waitress in Boston’s North End and Chinatown

Barbara A. (Mansfield) Falino, a resident of Revere for more than 40 years, formerly of Dorchester, died at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on June 7 following a brief illness. She was 76 years old.

Mrs. Falino was born and raised in Boston’s Dorchester section and attended schools there. She worked for many years as a cocktail and food waitress for many of Boston’s fine restaurants in the North End and Chinatown. She also worked in data entry for several computer agencies.

She was the adored grandmother to Jaime P. Falino and his fiancé, Heather M. Coburn of Melrose and the great adoring grandmother to Hendrix O. Falino of Melrose; the wife of the late Pasquale “Pat” Falino and the mother of the late Sheryl Lee Ann Laurinaitis. She is also lovingly survived by her son in law, John Laurinaitis of South Boston, her nieces Camille and Joyce Vaccaro and her nephew, Joseph Cali, all of Winthrop; several cousins, Bunny Butterfield and family and Richard and Dorothy Parady and family, all of Maine. She also leaves several devoted friends: Marie Siher of Florida, Roberta Dolan, Margie Tarantella, Claire Cimino and family, all of Revere, Carmella Sarro of Saugus and many other friends.

Barbara asked that rather than mourning her, be happy for her as she once again enjoys the company and presence of all who passed before, especially her “Baby-Girl, Sheryl.”

Services were held privately. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the North Shore Animal Hospital, One Neptune Boulevard, Lynn, MA 01902.

Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals of Revere was honored to have completed funeral arrangements. For more information, visit: www.vertuccioandsmith.com.
