Phyllis Antonelli

Of Revere, formerly of Chelsea

Phyllis M. (Reid) Antonelli, a 60 year resident of Revere, formerly of Chelsea, died at her home following a long illness on May 22. She was 84 years old.

Born and raised in Chelsea, she attended Chelsea Schools and moved to Revere in 1953. Her beloved husband, Rocco J. Antonelli, died in September of 2009.

She was the cherished mother of: Rosemarie Antonelli and her long time companion, retired Revere Firefighter Anthony J. “Tony” Cappoccia of Revere and the late Anthony J. Antonelli; dear mother in law of Kathleen (Horgan) Antonelli of Everett; cherished grandmother of Revere Patrolman

Douglas Zingali and his wife, Vivianna of Salem, Toni Antonelli-Alterio and her husband, Paul Alterio of Malden and Whitney and Alanna Antonelli, both of Everett; dear sister of Harold Reid and his wife, Diane of Saugus, John Reid and his wife, Joan of Waltham, Joseph Reid and his late wife, Mary of Chelsea and the late Lillian G. Tirro and Robert Reid. She is also lovingly survived by four great grandchildren: Douglas Zingalli Jr., Daniel R. Zingalli, Anthony Alterio and Ava Cozzolino; her brother in law, Angelo “Bob” Tirro of Peabody and by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, Inc. of Revere. Interment was in Puritan Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Peabody. Charles Ippolito

Former Proprietor of Mills Corner Citgo Gas Station in Chelsea

Charles L. Ippolito
of Deerfield Beach, Florida and Martha’s Vineyard, a former longtime resident of Chelsea, died on May 21.

The former proprietor of Mills Corner Citgo Gas Station in Chelsea for many years and a US Coast Guard veteran of World War II, he was the loving husband of Estelle (Gatti) Ippolito and is also survived by his son, James C. Ippolito of Tewksbury and his daughter, Lena Christopher of Saugus. Charles was preceded in death by his daughter, Virginia Beane. He also leaves behind two sisters, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of other relatives.

His Funeral will be held from the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) East Boston today, Thursday, May 30 at 9:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Mr. Ippolito’s life at Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach St., Revere at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Services will conclude in the chapel of Woodlawn Cemetery. Visiting hours were held on Wednesday. The funeral home is handicapped accessible, a childrens lounge is available, courtesy valet parking at the front entrance of the funeral home and ample off street parking with attendants in parking lots.
