As we are writing this, the forecast for Thanksgiving Day is for sunny skies and temperatures in the 50s  great weather for watching our Winthrop Vikings tackle their traditional holiday archrival, Revere, at the latter’s Harry Della Russo Stadium at 10:00.
Although neither squad will be playing in the post-season, a lot will be at stake for both teams when they take to the field. A victory against their traditional archrival in and of itself always is a huge motivator coming into the game, but in addition, a winning season for both teams hinges on the outcome.
The contest figures to be a hard-fought battle between the 5-5 Vikings and the 5-4 Patriots. Winthrop Coach Sean Driscoll and his crew will be fired up to emerge triumphant and a strong show of support from Winthrop fans surely will go a long way to providing inspiration for a victorious morning.
See you at the game!
