Congrats, Heather: Winthrop Nine-year Old is Shining in “annie”

If you haven’t seen “Annie” at the North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly, we recommend a trip up Route 128 North to the theater-in-the-round.

You’ll see Winthrop’s own rising star, nine year old Heather Buccini, performing as one of the orphans alongside Annie (played by 13-year old Lauren Weintraub, who’s magnificent in her portrayal) and we can report that Buccini is putting on the performance of her young career. To see her engage in a fight and roll across the stage with another young performer is a tribute to her acting prowess and the skills she has learned from her mentor, Trudy Macero, and the expert guidance she’s receiving from the Annie director and choreographer.
