Another Win for Viking Pride: Group is Underwriting New Lacrosse Program

Once again the Viking Pride Foundation has the answered the call for Winthrop athletes. The Foundation has made a substantial donation for the purchase of uniforms for the boys and girls lacrosse teams that will be taking the field for their first season as a club sport, with the intention of making it a varsity sport next year.

More than 80 student-athletes will receive sparkling new Winthrop uniforms as a result of the generosity of the Viking Pride Foundation. Since its inception, the Foundation has been a phenomenal source of support for our student-athletes and other organizations in the town.

We echo the comments of Winthrop High athletic director Peter Gobiel when we say, “Thank you, Viking Pride,” for helping our students enhance their high school experience through the forum of athletics.
