Don’t Miss Holiday Celebration: Chamber of Commerce Plans Big Event

One of Winthrop’s great traditions continues Friday night in French Square with the 20th Annual Holiday Lighting Festival. Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Eric Gaynor and Chamber President Bernice MacIntyre are expecting another large gathering for the fun and festive event that brings families together from throughout the town.

There will be musical performances by local groups, a martial arts demonstration, and  a blessing event for the Winthrop Fire Department’s brand new fire engine. And of course there will be the arrival of the great visitor from the North Pole, Santa Claus.

It promises to be another outstanding event in the town and we hope you’ll come down to the Center and be a part of the holiday cheer. Businesses in the Center will be open to greet residents and ensure a festive atmosphere for the event, which  always is well attended and is a great treat for the entire family.
