Jeanne Will Be Missed: Town Councilor Has Been an Honest Voice

Town Council member  Jeanne Maggio’s announcement at this week’s  Council meeting that she will not be a candidate for re-election was typical of the straightforward and humble manner that marked her tenure on the Council. Jeanne made her announcement now to get the word out early that she will not be seeking re-election so that others can begin considering a run to be her successor.

Maggio has been an outstanding councilor. In addition, her work with the volunteer Medical  Reserve Corps has been invaluable to the town and could serve as a national model for health service volunteers in towns across the country.

We will miss Jeanne Maggio’s honest and clear voice on the Council, where she always looked out for the little guy and always had the town’s best interests at heart.
