Florence Fraga

Lifelong Beachmont resident

Florence C. Fraga, a lifelong resident of Beachmont, died on June 20 following a long confinement at the Saugus Care & Rehab Center. She was 86 years old.

Miss Fraga was born in Boston and raised and educated in Revere. She lived in the Beachmont section of Revere all her life.

She was the daughter of the late George D. and Mary (Canty) Fraga; beloved sister of George “Buddy” Fraga and his wife, Julia, of Saugus; John Fraga of Charlestown and the late Chester Fraga. She is the cherished aunt to Philip J. Fraga and his long time companion, Cindy A. Staff of Revere and several other nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend Graveside Funeral Services at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett today, Thursday, June 23 at 11 a.m. followed by burial in the Family Lot at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Sol Amor Hospice, 181 South Main St., Middleton, MA 01949. Arrangements are under the direction of the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals of Revere.

Philip Boncore

Former owner of Viking Cleaners

Philip D. Boncore of Winthrop died June 15 at the Kaplan Family Hospice, Danvers. He was 79 years old.

Born in Boston, the son of the late Gaetana (Dantona) and Philip Boncore, he was a lifelong resident of Winthrop and the former Proprietor of Viking Cleaners. He graduated from the Winthrop Public Schools, served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a Life Member of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks and a member of the Winthrop Golf Club.

He was the beloved husband of Antonina “Ann” (Alberti); loving father of Mary Cawthorne and her husband, Richard, of Topsfield and Deborah Rio and her husband, George, of Reading; the loving brother of Angelo Boncore, Mary O’Keefe and the late Robert Boncore, all of Winthrop; cherished grandfather of Andrea Williams, Richard Cawthorne, Jennifer Kolinka, Stephanie MacFarland and Jaclyn Rio; great grandfather of Emmerson, Reese, Matthew, Maeve and Tristan.

Funeral arrangements were by the Ernest P. Caggiano-O’Maley Funeral Home, Winthrop. Burial was in Winthrop Cemetery. Phillip Ierardi

Longtime Winthrop resident

Phillip Ierardi, a longtime resident of Winthrop, died at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford on June 14 after a long illness. He was 59 years old.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Emma (Picardi) and Joseph Ierardi.

Andrew Chepyha

Retired Engineer

Andrew Chepyha of West Roxbury died on June 19.

A retired engineer at Sturvant Mill Co. of Boston, he was the beloved son of the late Mykola and Kateryna (Moskalyk) Chepyha and devoted brother of Stefan, Anna, Ewhenia and the late Wasyl and brother in law of Maria, all of Ukraine; loving cousin of Minnie and the late Mike Masny of Quincy and Luba and Wasyl Stefantsiv of Winthrop.

Funeral arrangements were by the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home, Jamaica Plain. Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery. For information www.bradyfallon.com
