A Nice Touch: Honan Sign Co. Shows its Town Pride

The signs that appear at the entrances to town at Belle Isle and Revere St. that say, “Winthrop Vikings 2011 State Champions,” are a nice touch thanks to the generosity of Matt Honan of the Honan Sign Co.

State championships are very rare at the high school level in any community. Making note of it to residents and visitors alike demonstrates that the state title earned by Coach Dave Brown’s boys’ basketball team is a source of pride in our community.

So thank you to Honan Sign Co. for thinking of our team, and thank you to our Viking hoopmen for doing something that will serve as an inspiration for our town’s youth for years to come.
