Decision Time – Who will be the Town’s next Superintendent?

Tonight (Thursday) is D-Day for the Winthrop School Committee when the committee  will meet to choose its next Superintendent of Schools.

As we noted last week, the selection of a new superintendent rates as the most important decision that a School Committee can make in this era of school reform and limited resources. We know all eyes and ears will be on the committee members as they announce their vote for their choice of the person to lead the Winthrop school system.

We hope that interested citizens who have followed the selection process have called their School Committee members to voice their opinions on the four finalist candidates. We are sure that our School Board members are eager to hear what their constituents think on this important matter.
