You’re Invited – Father’s Day Breakfast this Sunday

The Winthrop High football team will continue a long standing tradition when it hosts the annual Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast at the Winthrop High cafeteria Sunday morning

The players and coaches will do all of the work, the fixin’ and the servin’, to make the annual event an easy and carefree way for Dad to have a nice breakfast treat on Father’s Day with the entire family, while also affording all a chance to partake of the morning with friends and neighbors.

As always, the Pancake Breakfast also provides a great opportunity for all of us to support the Winthrop High football program. Long time Viking fans will recall that the proceeds from the Pancake Breakfast fundraiser originally were meant to defray the costs of the football team’s pre season sojourn to the fabled Camp Nellie Huckins in Freedom, N.H.

But with the budget cutbacks of recent years, which have become more and more drastic, the funds are needed to defray the ordinary expenses of the football program.

So we urge all Dads and others to make their way to the WHS cafeteria Sunday morning.

Bring the kids and your appetite and support Coach Sean Driscoll and his Vikings.
