WGC Is Thriving – Local institution is ready for another season

The Winthrop Golf Club celebrated the start of another season Friday night with its traditional kickoff dinner at the golf club. The guests enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner and awards were presented by club pro James Bruce for the past season.

Club officials said the club is still strong and vibrant and welcomes new members to join in the fun that is the sport of golf. The club has always offered a warm and friendly atmosphere for townspeople and non-residents alike.

The club is truly one of the town’s treasures and we’re sure it will continue to be so for many years to come.
