The police blotter this week contains numerous reports of breaks into automobiles throughout the town. Many of the police entries note that the car owners left their doors unlocked, all but inviting burglars to go into their cars.
So, as the Sisters of St. Joseph would say, “A word to the wise is sufficient.†Lock your car doors at night, even if they are in your driveway, because these thieves are brazen and an unlocked car is like the proverbial low hanging fruit to the criminal element.
