Welcome, Rev. Freeman – New pastor brings a unique perspective to Winthrop

We want to welcome the Rev. Alecia-Reeves Freeman, the new pastor at the First Church Winthrop, United Methodist, to our town and wish her well in her new position at the historic church on Winthrop Street.

The Rev. Freeman is originally from Liberia, West Africa, and is one of 15 children. She holds a Masters in Public Administration from Suffolk University and a Master’s in Divinity from Andover Newton Theological Seminary.

The Rev. Freeman said she is excited to be in Winthrop and looks forward to becoming involved in the community. We join with Winthrop resident Wendy Millar-Page, the director of religious education at the church, and all of our fellow residents in welcoming this esteemed spiritual leader to our town.

We are as excited to have her here as she is to be here.
