Congrats, Judge Fiandaca Well-known Winthrop lawyer takes a seat on the bench

We enjoyed reading the front page story last week about the Honorable Justice Kenneth Fiandaca who was appointed as a judge for the East Boston Division of the Boston Municipal Court.

We found it especially heartwarming when he mentioned his father, the late Joseph Fiandaca, who served as the first assistant clerk magistrate at East Boston District Court, along with Joseph Faretra, the clerk magistrate of the court, for more than 30 years.

Fiandaca told of what a great inspiration his father was to him in his life. One can only imagine how proud the late Mr. Fiandaca would have been of his son as he received the high honor of becoming a justice at the same court in East Boston where he himself served with such distinction.

Judge Fiandaca also talked of the appreciation of the education he received from Suffolk University and Suffolk Law School and how his years at the well-known institution on Beacon Hill had prepared him for his career in law.

We want to congratulate Justice Fiandaca on his appointment to the bench. He has been a credit to the legal profession during his many years in private practice.

We wish him well in his prestigious position in the Massachusetts court system.
