We’re not sure if the great Bobby Kneeland ever received the call for a Jet Sweep on four consecutive plays, but Nathan Previte did – and the senior back made it all work.
Previte had a huge 55-yard run and then cashed in on the third of three successive runs inside the 10.
“That’s our Jet Sweep play, and I felt good about the matchup we had,” said head coach Jon Cadigan. “I have faith in our guys. Nate was probably gassed, but he did a good job of getting into the end zone.”
Previte had 10 rushes for 90 yards and one touchdown.
“My coach told me before the game to hit the hole and see you later,” said Previte. “I got some great blocks. Dom Spinale is always working hard out there and making big plays. On the edge, Des Cassidy is making big blocks for me. I think all the work in the off season helped me. You just keep on putting in the extra effort. I’m playing for the person next to me. We showed up to play, and that’s how it’s going to be every week. We’re family.”
