Mary F. Vitale passed away at the CHA Everett on May 17, 2026. She was 89 years old. Mary dedicated many years to her work as a bookkeeper at the Don Orione Nursing Home in East Boston, contributing with quiet reliability before her retirement.

Active in her community, she was a member of the Emblem Club, the Red Hats, and the Seaside Tappers. She found joy in gardening and reading, pursuits that reflected her love of comfort, learning, and the outdoors.

She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony F. Vitale and the loving mother of Lawrence “Larry” Vitale of Winthrop, James Vitale and his wife, Donna of Winthrop and the late Christine Vitale; cherished grandmother of Alicia Vitale, Doriana Motta, Anthony Motta and great grandmother to Eli.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the Caggiano-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home, Winthrop today, Thursday, May 21 from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with the interment in the Cross Street section of Winthrop Cemetery.
