The following incident reports are among the calls to which the Winthrop Police Department responded on the listed dates. The log is a public record and available for review. All persons who are arrested or charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Monday, May 12

0805: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Shirley St. for the civil moving infraction of violating the hands-free law. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle at Cross and Main Sts. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Walden St. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Shirley St. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Shirley St. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Revere St. for the civil moving infraction of a red light violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Washington Ave. for the civil moving infractions of a stop sign violation, a marked lanes violation, and a failure to obey signs. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Revere St. for the civil moving infraction of a red light violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle at Revere and Sagamore Sts. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

1132: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Shirley St. for the civil moving infraction of operating an unregistered motor vehicle and for the criminal offenses of attaching plates and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. The officer issued a citation to the operator for all of the offenses and ordered the vehicle to be towed.

1223: A resident came into the staton to report the theft of a delivery of checks. The officer filed a report.

1516: A resident came into the staton to report being the victim of identity theft in which a number of student loans were taken out in her name. The officer filed a report.

2051: An officer dispersed persons in motor vehicles from Hannaford Park, which is closed after dark.

2055: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Revere St. for the civil moving infraction of a red light violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

2337: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Main St. for the civil moving infraction of an equipment violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

2347: An officer dispersed two persons in a motor vehicle from Hannaford Park, which is closed after dark.

Tuesday, May 13

0010: An officer stopped a motor vehicle at Veterans Rd. and Locust St. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

0111: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Cross St. for the civil moving infraction of a lights violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

0119: An officer issued parking tickets to six vehicles without resident parking stickers on Summit Ave.

1137: A resident came into the station to report that her Ebay account had been hacked and that eyeglasses had been purchased using her Ebay/PayPal account. The officer filed a report.

1157: An officer responded to a report of a disturbance between neighbors on Marshall St. regarding a property line and the cutting of grass.

1559: A caller reported that a youth without a helmet was operating a scooter in traffic on Brookfield Rd. The officer located the 12 year-old and advised him to be more careful regarding oncoming vehicles.

1609: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Main St. for the civil moving infraction of a marked lanes violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator for that offense, as well as for the civil infraction of not having his registration in his possession.

1733: A Tafts Ave. resident found a small dog on the loose and left it in a fenced backyard until the Animal Control Officer arrived on the scene. The dog eventually was reunited with its owner.

1856: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infractions of a marked lanes violation and excessive window tint. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

2022: An officer issued a parking ticket to a vehicle parked in the No Parking Here to Corner area of Cutler St.

2033: An officer issued a parking ticket to a vehicle parked in the bus stop lane on Walden St.

2246: A resident came into the station with a small white dog she had found in Metcalf Sq. The person agreed to keep the dog for the night until the owner is located.

Wednesday May 14

0129: An officer issued parking tickets to 10 vehicles without resident parking stickers on Shirley St.

0140: An officer issued parking tickets to six vehicles without resident parking stickers on Somerset Ave.

1219: An officer responded to a report of two groups of youths at the skate park at Ingleside Park. One group wanted to play stickball and the other wanted to play hockey. The officer advised them that if they could not work it out, all of them would be ordered to leave the skate park.

1423: Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at Cross St. near Miller Field. One of the vehicles was ordered towed and the operator was cited for the criminal offenses of attaching plates and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

1504: A person came into the station to report that their vehicle was struck by a hit-and-run operator on Madison Ave. The officer filed a report.

2259: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Revere St. for the civil moving infraction of operating without headlights after dark. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

0039: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of speeding. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

0119: An officer issued parking tickets to eight vehicles without resident parking stickers on Chester Ave.

1038: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Revere St. for the civil moving infraction of an expired inspection sticker. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Washington Ave. for the civil moving infraction of excessive window tint. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1114: An officer ordered a tow for a motor vehicle on Shirley St. for the criminal offense of attaching plates. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

2307: A tow company reported the trespass tow of a motor vehicle from Governors Park.

Friday, May 16

0120: An officer issued parking tickets to nine vehicles without resident parking stickers onWoodside Ave.

0133: An officer issued parking tickets to 10 vehicles without resident parking stickers on Beach Rd., Myrtle Ave., and Locust St.

0954: A Golden Drive resident reported the theft of packages from the front of his apartment. The officer filed a report.

0957: An officer responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident on Crest Ave. There were no injuries and one vehicle was towed.

1726: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for a civil moving infraction. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1739: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Washington Ave. for the civil moving infraction of speeding. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

2024: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Douglas St. for the civil moving infraction of a one-way violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

2025: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of operating without headlights after dark. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

2107: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Main St. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator for that offense, as well as for the civil infraction of not having his license in his possession.

2219: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Shirley St. for the civil moving infraction of failing to stop for a traffic control sign or signal. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

Saturday, May 17

0000: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Veterans Rd. for the civil moving infraction of an equipment violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

0057: A person playing music loudly in his motor vehicle on Amelia Ave. was dispersed from the area.

0115: An officer issued parking tickets to six vehicles without resident parking stickers on Fremont St.

0235: An officer dispersed persons in a motor vehicle from Hannaford Park, which is closed after dark.

1246: An officer issued a parking ticket to a vehicle parked at a fire hydrant on Taylor St.

1332: An officer assisted the parties with the exchange of papers at a motor vehicle accident on Main St. There were no injuries and neither vehicle was towed.

2002: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Main St. for the civil moving infraction of a number plate violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

2010: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Winthrop St. for the civil moving infraction of an equipment violation The officer issued a citation to the operator.

2022: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Washington Ave. for the civil moving infractions of an obstructed window and a number plate violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

2040: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Main St. for the civil moving infraction of operating without headlights after dark. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

2044: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Main St. for the civil moving infraction of an equipment violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

2245: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Shirley St. for the civil moving infractions of speeding and a number plate violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator for those offenses, as well as for the civil infraction of not having his license in his possession.

2259: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of speeding. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

2307: An officer stopped a moped on Main St. The operator was cited for the criminal offense of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and for the civil infractions of a helmet violation and a passing violation. The moped was towed.

2347: An employee at Cumberland Farms reported that he was assaulted by four persons whom he was trying to get to leave the premises so he could lock up for the night. The victim knew the names of the suspects and video footage will be reviewed. The officer filed a report.

Sunday, May 18

0902: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Main St. for the civil moving infraction of making an illegal turn. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1238: Officers responded to a report of an automobile striking a home on Trident Ave. The officers located the suspect vehicle and arrested David Escolastico, 58, of 36 Trident Ave., for the criminal offenses of: operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and leaving the scene of an accident after causing property damage; and for the civil infractions of speeding and a marked lanes violation. The vehicle was towed.

1712: An officer directed persons in a Revere St. residence to turn down their music.

1737: An officer issued a parking ticket to a vehicle parked in a crosswalk on Veterans Rd.

1751: An officer issued a parking ticket to a vehicle parked in the Fire Lane on Shirley St.

1920: An officer issued a parking ticket to a vehicle parked in the Fire Lane at Twist and Shake on Shirley St.

2013: An officer issued a parking ticket to two vehicles parked in the Fire Lane at Twist and Shake on Shirley St.

2059: An officer issued a parking ticket to a commercial vehicle on Paine St.

2209: An officer directed a loud group of party-goers at a Centre St. residence to take it inside for the night.
