Active member of the St. John Episcopal Church in Winthrop
Edna Mae Crews of Winthrop passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on May 3, 2025. She was 96 years old.
Born in Roxbury, she was the beloved daughter of the late Henrietta and Alphonso Wallace. A resident of Winthrop for over 75 years, she worked as a receptionist for New England Financial prior to her retirement. She was also an active member of the St. John Episcopal Church in Winthrop.
She was the devoted wife of the late Robert Crews and the loving mother of Robert “Tim” Crews, Richard “Steven” Crews and Barry Crews and cherished grandmother of Jessica Crews.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation in the St. John Episcopal Church, 222 Bowdoin St., Winthrop on Friday, May 9 from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service in the church at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with the interment in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.

William Noel Meloni
His passing leaves a tremendous void that cannot be filled
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William Noel Meloni, who departed this world on April 30, 2025, at the young age of 64.
Born on August 22, 1960, in Boston, Bill, like most who grew up in Winthrop, (Point Shirley), loved summers on Yirrell Beach. As a child, Bill attended Winthrop Public Schools where he developed a love for hockey. He later graduated from Saint Dominic Savio High School in 1978. Bill went on to work for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) as an Operator for over twenty years.
He was predeceased by his mother, Regis M. (Griffin) Ezekiel and his father, James J. Ezekiel. He leaves behind his sisters: Maria E. Meloni of Haverhill, Patricia A. (Ezekiel) Gedziun and her husband, Paul, of Nashua, NH and James J. Ezekiel and his wife, Shorella, of Burlington. He also leaves two nephews, Jasper Ezekiel and P.J. Gedziun.
The passing of Bill leaves a tremendous void that cannot be filled. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. As we reflect on his life, we are reminded of the importance of kindness, forgiveness, grace, and love. Rest in peace, Billy. You will be forever dearly missed.
