Excellent musician, lover of all things fantasy, and a kid at heart, he is gone too soon
Douglas “Doug” Keith Tabbut, 61, of Winthrop died in early spring, 2025.
He was born in Concord, Mass on January 26th, 1964, and graduated from Winthrop High School in 1982. The son of the late Donald Tabbut and Sally Knight Tabbut, he was the youngest of three siblings. He is survived by his sisters, Linda and Janice, and brother-in-law, Jon; his daughter, Brenna; and his nieces: Emily, Robyn and Rachel and their children Jackson and Rowan.
An excellent musician, lover of all things fantasy, and a kid at heart, he is gone too soon. Services will be held privately with family. In lieu of flowers, please think of donating to the American Diabetes Association and listen to a song or album from your favorite heavy metal band and think of him drumming along!

Beloved longtime Winthrop resident
Colin McLean, born in Boston on September 14, 1959, passed away in Burlington on April 21, 2025.
Colin was a beloved longtime resident of Winthrop. He dedicated over 25 years of his life to First Indemnity Insurance, where he was known for his hard work and dedication.
Despite facing physical challenges, Colin was an active participant in the Earl Daley Softball League, showcasing his love for sports and determination. His passion for the game and his resilience served as an inspiration to many.
Colin had a special affinity for dogs and was often seen strolling through the town with his furry companions. His love for animals and his commitment to their well-being touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Colin McLean will be dearly missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and the community he cherished. May he rest in peace.
He was the beloved son of the late Brenda (Leary) and George McLean, the dear brother of Scott McLean of Boca Raton, Florida and the late Mark McLean.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the Caggiano-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home, Winthrop on Saturday, May 3 from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with the interment in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
