Staff Report
Winthrop is propelled in many aspects by women. As Women’s History Month winds down, Winthrop Working Together is hosting “Women in Winthrop” to highlight several women in leadership roles in town politics, operations, business and civic engagement.
The forum is aimed at fostering knowledge of the many pivotal roles that women in our community play, sharing their perspective as well as insight into their individual experiences and trajectories. “Women in Winthrop” will be held Saturday, March 29 at 2 p.m. at the Winthrop Public Library in the Hazlett Room.
The event will be moderated by Celeste Ribeiro Hewitt – member of Winthrop Climate and CDICR Commissions. Panelists include Hannah Belcher – Winthrop Town Council Vice President, Tracey Honan- former town councilor, current business owner, Lieutenant Mary Crisafi – Winthrop Police Department, Meredith Hurley – Director – Winthrop Public Health Department, Nicole Bettano – Lantern Residential, and Clara Arroyave – Entrepreneur. The program will culminate in a networking opportunity and light refreshments. Advance and same day registration are available and there is no charge to participate.
