Sunday, May 12
1057: An officer stopped a motor vehicle at Morton St. and Amelia Ave. for the civil moving infraction of speeding. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
1120: A report of a light pole leaning in the area of 472 Shirley St. was referred to National Grid.
1214: An officer ordered a tow for a disabled motor vehicle in Metcalf Sq.
1402: An officer stopped a motor vehicle at Walden and Pauline Sts. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
1436: An officer directed the operator of a motor vehicle blocking a fire hydrant on Bowdoin St. to move the vehicle.
2319: An officer dispersed a person in a motor vehicle from Hannaford Park, which is closed after dark. When the officer discovered that the person did not have a valid driver’s license, he ordered him to leave the car parked and to walk home and not operate the motor vehicle until he had a valid license.
Monday, May 13
0002: An officer responded to a report of a person playing music loudly in an apartment on River Rd. The officer restored the peace.
0008: An officer found a person slumped over his steering wheel at Shirley and Moore Sts. The officer directed the person to take an Uber home and took his car keys, which he could pick up at the station the next day.
0125: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Walden St. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. When the officer determined that the operator did not have a valid license, which is a criminal offense, the officer issued a citation to the operator, whose brother came to get the vehicle.
1256: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of violating the hands-free law. When the officer determined that the operator’s license was suspended, the officer arrested the operator, Rulver Yoni Hernandez, 52, of Revere, for the criminal offense of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. He also was cited for the civil infractions of violating the hands-free law and not wearing a seatbelt.
1529: An officer stopped a person riding a moped on Pleasant St. He advised the operator that the moped must be registered and allowed her to take it home and directed her not to operate it until it is registered.
1651: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Shirley St. for the civil moving infractions of a number plate violation and excessive window tint. The officer issued a citation to the operator for the former violation and a verbal warning for the latter.
1720: A repossession company reported the repo of a motor vehicle.
1738: A person came into the station to report that his motor vehicle had been broken into on Crest Ave. and several items were taken. The officer filed a report.
1919: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Circuit Rd. for the civil moving infraction of making a right on red where not allowed. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
Tuesday, May 14
0132: An officer issued parking tickets to eight vehicles without resident parking stickers on Bartlett Rd.
1054: A Governors Park resident came into the station to report a stolen package. The officer filed a report.
1240: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Walkden St. for a civil moving infraction. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1252: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Revere St. for the civil moving infraction of a crosswalk violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1330: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Winthrop St. for the civil moving infraction of a turning violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1333: A resident came into the station to report being the victim of a larceny. The officer filed a report.
1539: A Hermon St. resident reported that a person tried to steal a package from his porch, but fled when the resident yelled. The officers located a person matching the description of the suspect on the stairs of the police station. The officers arrested Jose E. Mancia, 57, listed as homeless, for the criminal offenses of larceny from a building, attempting to commit a crime, and providing false identifying information to an arresting officer.
1834: A resident came into the station to report being the victim of a larceny. The officer filed a report.
1959: An officer issued a parking ticket to a motor vehicle parked in the No Parking zone at Locust St. and Shore Drive.
2058: An officer directed persons playing loud music at a Centre St. residence to turn it down.
2143: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Washington Ave. for the civil moving infraction of operating without headlights after dusk. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
Wednesday, May 15
0130: A tow company reported the trespass tow of a motor vehicle from Governors Park.
0153: An officer issued parking tickets to 18 vehicles without resident parking stickers on Court Rd.
0301: Officers responded to a rollover accident on Winthrop St. Three parked vehicles were struck. The operator refused medical attention and his vehicle was towed. He also received a citation for the incident.
0938: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Revere St. for a civil moving infraction. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1309: A person reported that a dog was on the loose on Strand Way and barking at passers-by.
2024: An officer issued a parking ticket to a vehicle parked in the fire lane on Shirley St.
Thursday, May 16
1052: Officers arrested a 36 year-old female resident of Governors Park on an outstanding warrant out of the Lynn District Court.
1204: A resident came to the station to report being the victim of identity theft. There were several attempts to open credit cards in her name. The officer filed a report.
1241: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of speeding. The officer issued a citation to the operator for that offense, as well as for the additional civil infraction for not having his registration in his possession.
1253: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of speeding. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
1302: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of violating the hands-free law. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
1323: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of speeding. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1344: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of speeding. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
1356: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of speeding. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
1401: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of a number plate violation. When the officer determined that the operator did not have a valid license, which is a criminal offense, he issued a citation to the operator for both violations and ordered the vehicle to be towed.
1445: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infractions of speeding and excessive window tint. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
1457: An officer issued a parking ticket to a vehicle that had been parked for longer than 15 minutes in the 15 Minute Parking Zone on Revere St.
1459: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of speeding. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
1512: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of speeding. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
1525: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of speeding. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
1535: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of speeding. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
1542: A resident came to the station to report that he had been the victim of a larceny in which he had been scammed out of $7000 over an 18-month period. The officer filed a report.
2047: An officer stopped a motor vehicle at Revere St. for the civil moving infraction of operating without headlights after dusk. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
2051: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Revere St. for the civil moving infraction of operating without headlights after dusk. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
2101: An officer issued a parking ticket to a vehicle parked in the fire lane on Shirley St.
2252: Officers responded to a report of a pick-up truck hitting a building and another vehicle on Fremont St. and leaving the scene The officers located the pick-up truck on Jefferson St. The officers arrested the operator, Michael Saldanha de Sousa, 35, of 6 Jefferson St., for the criminal offenses of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor (2nd offense), leaving the scene of an accident after causing property damage, operating a motor vehicle recklessly so as to endanger, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense). He also was cited for the civil infraction of having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in his vehicle.
Friday, May 17
1133: A resident came into the station to report that she believes she had been scammed out of $10,000. The officer filed a report.
1540: A person came to the station to report that her motor vehicle had been struck by a hit-and-run operator while parked in the loop at the Gorman School. The officer filed a report.
1836: An officer stood by to assist the operator of a disabled motor vehicle (a tie rod had snapped, causing a tire to blow out) on Pleasant St.
2355: A resident came into the station to report that she had not seen her son since the afternoon. Officers checked the basketball courts, all of the local parks and playgrounds, and with the Chelsea police. The juvenile eventually was found hiding under his bed by a family member. The officer filed a report.
Saturday, May 18
1145: The Animal Control Officer spoke to the owner of a dog whom she allows to go on other people’s property on Cutler St.
1205: An officer directed the owner of a vehicle parked in the No Parking zone on Bowdoin St. to move her vehicle.
1903: An officer ordered a tow for a motor vehicle that was parked on Madison Ave. and leaking fluids. The officer filed a report.
Sunday, May 19
1833: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Walden St. with a registration revoked for insurance cancellation, which is a criminal offense. The officer ordered the vehicle towed and issued a citation to the operator.
Monday, May 20
