Winthrop High Director of Athletics Matt Serino offered his congratulations to Anthony “Butch” Martucci on his 200th career coaching victory.
“I couldn’t be happier for Anthony, achieving such a prestigious milestone,” said Serino, a former hockey star at Saugus High. “For the past 27 years, 14 as the girls hockey head coach, Coach Martucci has given everything to grow and develop hockey in this town. Most people know him for the success he has had with the high school program, but what people don’t see are the countless hours he has invested coaching with the youth program. You couldn’t ask for a better coach and mentor to these girls. He deserves every second of recognition he is getting for his 200th career win.”
