Last Sunday morning the Zenith Lodge of Odd Fellows in Winthrop was a busy place. The lodge hosted the American Red Cross for a blood drive, this is a critical time for the need of blood during the holiday season.
The lodge was also visited by Lt. Steven Rogers and company to pick up a donation of toys for their annual toy drive, taking place later that day at Pauline Circle. Besides the toys, the lodge also supplies the use of an overstuffed ceremonial chair for Santa’s use during the evening. The toy drive was from 4-530pm, but new, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the Winthrop Police Station, located at 3 Metcalf Square until Christmas.
