Kurt Lauritzen

Retired Truck Driver and Member of Winthrop Elks

Kurt E. Lauritzen of Winthrop passed away on April 13. He was 81 years old. Kurt was the beloved husband of Rosemary D. (Bliton) Lauritzen. Born in Melrose, he was the cherished son of the late Walter and Emmy (Storm) Lauritzen.

Prior to his retirement, Kurt was employed as a truck driver with the Teamsters-Local #25. A U.S. Navy Veteran, serving from 1960-1966, he was also a member of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks #1078.

Kurt was the devoted father of Michael E. Lauritzen and his wife, Sonya of Pepperell and Andrea N. Lauritzen and her spouse, Rachel Regina of Denver, CO. He was the adored grandfather of Erik J. Lauritzen and his wife, Thea, Dana M. and Kristofor D. Lauritzen; the dear brother of Christine Mara and her companion, Richard of Hooksett,

NH, Anna Nobel and her husband, William of Rockland, MA and Linda Manfredi and her husband, Vincent of Winthrop. He was the brother-in-law of Edward W. and Patricia Bliton of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Patricia A. Bliton and Kenneth J. and Kathleen Bliton, all

of Winthrop. Kurt is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
