Marguerite Carresi

Of Peabody, formerly of Winthrop

Marguerite R. Carresi of Peabody, formerly of Winthrop, passed away at Pilgrim Rehabilitation in Peabody on August 19. She was 96 years old.

Born in East Boston, the beloved daughter of the late Mary and Anthony Miraglia, she was the devoted wife of the late Joseph J. Carresi, loving mother of John Carresi and his wife, Tina of Peabody and the cherished grandmother of Joseph, Andrea, John and Derek and great grandmother of Gianna and the last of sixteen brothers and sisters.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the Caggiano-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home, Winthrop on Friday, August 26, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with the interment in the Cross Street section of Winthrop Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
