Massport recently filed the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for the Boston Logan International Airport R1111way 27 Em/ Runway Safety Area Improvements Project with the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) Office. This document responds to all requirements of the Environmental Notification Form (ENF) Certificate issued on October 8, 2021.

The public comment period will begin on July 8, 2022, and end on August 8, 2022. A virtual public meeting on this safety project will be held during the 30-day comment period at 6:00 PM on Wednesday July 20, 2022. Please check Massport’s website https://www.massport.com/logan-airport/about-loganlenvironmental-reports for details. Spanish translation will be provided. Translation in other languages can be requested within reasonable notice (48 hours) of the meeting.
Comments may be submitted by close of business on August 8, 2022 through MEPA’s Public Comment Portal at https://eeaoline.eea.state.ma.us/EEA/PublicComment/Landing/ or through emailing the MEPA analyst.
